I have been fishing the local waters off of Gloucester for over 30 years. As a third generation fisherman, I have done everything from running deep sea fishing and whale watching boats to dragging, gill netting, and swordfishing out on the Grand Banks. My love for fishing developed at a very young age and I enjoy getting others to experience the thrill of catching their first fish or taking seasoned anglers out for an action-packed day.

    Great Captain, boat, trip!

    5 Hour Fishing Trip (AM) • 1 adult

    Very knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled captain, has lived in the area all his life. Tackle appropriate, in good condition, and very well organized. Nice boat, well appointed and set up, comfortable and perfect for the type of fishing we were doing. It only took a short time for us to catch bait and for the captain to put us on fish. Great trip, exceeded my expectations! We were blessed with wonderful weather, light winds, and friendly tide. We caught five big stripers, 4 over 36” and two of those over 40”. Anyone who fishes much knows you have good days and bad days, regardless of the skill of the captain, but this was a great day, and I attribute much of that to his preparation, skill, and experience. Fun to be with, and an added bonus of learning lots about the area and its history. Five Stars!

    We all had a great time with an experienced second generation fisherman. (Captain Rob) A Knowledgeable first mate (Joe ) , the crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. Glad to have had the opportunity to share a day fishing. we would definitely book again . and of course beginners luck award went to my wife for the largest fish of the day!!

    Best Father’s Day

    4 Hour Striped Bass Trip (PM) • 3 adults • 1 child

    Rob and his wife were absolutely amazing. We caught 2 keepers and threw back 7 huge bass. They were wonderful with my 9 year old son and even let him drive the boat. My son said it was the best day ever! I have already recommended to my best friend and we will definitely be booking again.

It’s an unfortunate regualation for us where we have to throw those big fish back, but they are certainley fun to catch!! At least you were able to take at least 2 fish home!     it was my first time with a charter of this type and it was as expected. the captain and mate were great and we caught mackerel and stripers and took home some nice fillets.

    I booked the trip for my husband and Father-in-Law for Father’s Day. This is my husband’s review ➡️ Captain Rob and Jay were great. They had a solid game plan with contingency plans in case something didn’t work out. They knew where the fish were and kept us over them which ensured we were able to catch fish. My father and I had a blast!

    Hi Rebecca, tell your husband thanks for the great review! Since the weather wasn’t great, and we were dealing with high wind and rough seas, I’m glad we were able to find a spot out of the wind and still catch some nice fish!

    Rob and his wife Kim are great host. This was my grandson’s first trip Fishing in the bay. Although Fishing was slow that day, my grandson did manage to catch a large blue and will remember that Fish for the rest of his life. Thanks again to the captain and the first mate.

    My husband and I took our 17yo son on a half-day fishing trip with Captain Rob and his wife, Kim. It was absolutely beautiful. Would 1,000% recommend this experience to anyone considering a fishing trip. The boat was pristine. Captain Rob & Kim were super knowledgable about the area. Breathtaking views. A dozen or so seals watched as we fished for bait at one location. It was awesome. Can't wait to go again! Thank you so much, Capt. Rob & Kim :)

    Incredible day in Gloucester with Captain Rob & Kim - super knowledgeable, personable and made for a memorable day fishing for bait (mackerel) and striped bass. Boat was very comfortable, clean and easily accommodated our group of 3. Captain Rob & Kim are local to the area with in depth knowledge of Gloucester, Cape Ann and great spots for inshore fishing. Highly recommend booking them for your next fishing charter - best out there on the north shore! We can’t wait to go again.

    We had a blast on our trip this past Saturday, Captain Rob & Jim were really knowledgeable and knew the water well. We were all first timers and they made the trip memorable. We'll definitely book them again on our next trip.
