My son and I have annual fishing trips most every June to celebrate Father’s Day and his Birthday.  We try out new boat’s and locations occasionally.  This year my son found Makai.  Fishing was great, but the main reason we enjoyed the trip was the capt and mate are great people, hard working and helpful. We will definitely be a returning client of Capt. Larry.  It was one of the most enjoyable trip we have had.

Captain Larry and his mate Bill were very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.  We were on fish as soon as we hit the fishing area and caught fish throughout the trip! All four of us really enjoyed the trip!

Went out for a 6 hour trip for near shore bottom fishing, captain and first mate were excellent, friendly and extremely helpful. Caught some flounder to keep but it was a light catch (due entirely to sea state and algal blooms). The boat was in excellent shape, clean, well stocked, and piloted expertly through some pretty shifty wind and decent chop! Comfort of guests and safety was a very clear priority. I would highly recommend Makai to anyone looking for a charter in the Rehoboth/Bethany area.... More

Great charter. The boat and equipment were in amazing condition. The captain was helpful and knowledgeable and made sure we were in the right place at the right time, even messaging us to let us know about the tides and that we would have a better experience if we could make it earlier than our scheduled time. Several fish were caught and the crew was quick and efficient at setting things up for us. Hardly any downtime in our two-hour excursion. Highly recommend!

Took a 6 hour charter with two kids (8/12) off shore. The boat was very well equipped and very clean. Capt Larry and First Mate Bill were great with the kids teaching them how to fish offshore and they had a blast. They were very friendly and patient. We have done many inshore trips and this was our first off offshore with kids. We caught a fair amount of fish and had some keepers, which is always good. Overall a great, relaxing trip. Will book again. Thanks!
