- Captain Chad Raney is a Florida native who has been fishing his whole life. He grew up fishing tournaments with his father along the southeast coast and traveling all over the Bahamas and Mexico. These experiences made him into a professional at live bait and kite fishing. He has won multiple Billfish and IGFA tournaments. Capt. Chad says, "I found fishing not just a hobby, but a way of life." He started fishing professionally right out of high school and worked as a First Mate on a charter boat out of Haulover during college. He made his way up the ladder, eventually earning his captain's license at the age of 21 and becoming the youngest captain to ever run a charter boat out of Haulover. Today he is the owner of the “Old Hat," with over 15 years of experience fishing from Haulover Park marina.
