Having chartered many trips in the past, this trip was unique. Capt. Beckham is a local multi-generation oysterman. His boat is very basic, safe, and has plenty of room- his commercial oyster boat. The weather turned ugly on us a couple of hours into our day without notice.  Our Captain was knowledgeable about storm patterns and how to navigate us to safety.  But I’m such a short time we visited several islands, caught a few fish and got to see a little pod of dolphins.  We hope to have at least one more outing with him again this week.    Highly recommend and highly suggest asking for Tyler.  He knows the area, comes from generations on the island, and really goes out of his... We ventured out for red fish and didn’t land any but I did catch a beautiful mackerel!  Also hooked into a large gar of all things.  We had other bites but then decided to just enjoy the beauty of the area.  Tyler was able to share historical stories of the area and drive us around to see spectacular views.  Growing up in Cedar Key and having a long line of family history in the area gives Tyler a lot of rich heritage which he happily shares.  We had a great fishing and learning experience... We had a fantastic fishing expedition. Captain Tyler is awesome, very professional and has a very nice personality. He goes the extra mile to ensure that everybody gets a wonderful and memorable experience fishing with him. He shared multiple **hidden content** about Cedar Key history and took us to multiple spots to catch different types of fish. I wish I could give him a 10 star rating because he deserves it. From now on, he will be the only one we’ll hire.

If you want a kind, respectful, and flexible captain, he is your guy.  He was beyond accommodating, changed his time line to meet ours, and always looked out for our kids.  When one child had a hard time being out in the water he decided to go to a nearby island for all of us to fish off of.  He also went fishing so that he could catch a fish for our son to reel in several times.  He is a true island gem.  You will not be disappointed!
