Captain Paul was very professional and punctual from the booking all the way through the trip. Got us on some big fish quickly and wasn’t scared to share knowledge. I do recommend this charter for anyone looking in the area.

Captain Paul and first mate Tag were great hosts and got us on the fish.  Everyone reeled on a striper and we got two keepers!  One of our party had never been fishing before and they coached him up well.  Would definitely recommend them.

I wanted to charter a boat for a striper fishing day with my boys, and chartered out of Boston Harbor, but that was central location for us.  We didn’t know anyone there and didn’t have any recommendation, so I felt like I was blindly taking a chance and wasn’t sure what I’d get with this booking.  I’m SO glad we went with Captain Paul and Reel Pursuit - What a great day!  Even though there was a fair amount of traffic in the harbor, that’s where we stayed, because that’s where the fish were, and Captain Paul expertly navigated around and did a good job getting us on fish.  We were catching when other boats seemed to be struggling. With 2 lines in the water, we doubled up on both lines twice, with a bonus 2 fish on one line at the end - 15 stripers landed in 6 hrs, between 30 and 38in - even with a lull at slack tide.  Great communication all during the trip, and prompt response to questions before the trip too.

A captain needs a good first mate to deal not only with lines, tackle, netting fish, hook removal, measuring, etc, but also guest interaction. I’ve been on boats before where the mate knew what he was doing but was not good with guests. Frankly, we felt like we hit the jackpot with first mate Dave!  100% knew what he was doing, and was very engaging - in a fun way, with a great demeanor and stories. We loved that he was willing to teach the entire way too - what stripers we feeding on, watching signs on the water, tides, info about Boston Harbor, as well as guiding advice on equipment and technique, and favorite ways to cook our fillets.

100% happy customer - I highly recommend, and would definitely book again.  But right now, I’ve got fillets on the grill I need to tend to.
