We had a good time, but serious fishers may not like that mostly you are watching the captain fish,(troll)  and sometimes he hands you the rod to pull in fish. He tended to pull them in himself if they felt small but I think the kids were bored enough that they would have been fine reeling in small fish too. I get the sense that this is just how it is done but that is something maybe groups should know.

We went for the afternoon run from 1-5 and caught our quota. We lost about as many fish as we caught but manged to reel in 10 fish including 1 King Salmon and 1 Coho. The rest were Pinks. Derrick was our captain and he was on it all the time. Any bite by a fish, he jumped immediately to make sure the fish was hooked.We had non-stop action from start to finish and couldn’t imagine a better time out on the water. The weather was gorgeous of course which made the day perfect for fishing.

Spent yesterday morning with my niece (14) and nephews (14,17) fishing with Captain Jordan.  We all had a great time enjoying the ride, the weather and the views from Puget Sound.  Its tough to beat being on the water with the Olympics on one side and the Cascades on the other.  There were a few seal and porpoise sightings too.  The chill island music was a great touch.  Captain Jordan was prompt, knowledgeable about his craft, professional and personable which made the experience that much... Visiting from NJ and first time fishing the Puget Sound. Amazing experience, beautiful scenery and great salmon fishing!

Obviously experienced captain and angler, worked hard to put us on fish.  Was also extremely engaging in conversation. Successful fishing, and fun day.
