We were told to be there between 6:30 and 6:45, we were there 6:15.
Mike came to the shore he was trying to catch bait.
We went on board about 6:30.
He said he had to go home to get the plug for the boat he forgot it.
Had NO bait so the first hr he had to catch it.
Maybe 7:30-8 we started fishing without luck, so he went to another spot, we were there for 30 minutes and it started raining a bit. He tried to outrun the rain but said he had to back to hide under the bridge.
That was where he finally checked the radar, he said there was a lot more rain coming.
This was 9:00-9:15, he said he would knock $100 off the price and I agreed because by this time we were drenched.
At the dock he asked me to be paid I asked him how much I owed him, he said $350. I told him that we had to make a downpayment of $90 and that he should deduct it. I was told that the downpayment was for the booking company and that that was not deductible. I was highly surprised but it was raining and we were cold, I gave him the $350 in cash.
Now I get an email that we owed $360 for the trip (450 - 90) so I should only have paid 260!!!
He cheated us out of extra money and gave us maybe 1:30 hr of fishing instead of the 4hrs I booked.
To top it off HOW can you ad fisher not check the weather before the trip, his text at 6am was it’s going to be great weather.
Stay away from this charlatan. And I will dispute the $90 downpayment charge.
