What an incredibly memorable charter! From the moment we stepped on the boat our experience with Ben and Gary was top notch. Within minutes of reaching the King Salmon honey hole, lines were tight, energy was high, and our boat limited out. Then, we were off to chase some halibut and quickly reached our limit for those as well. We will definitely be chartering with this crew again!

I’m ready to go again

Captain and Firstmate on BLN charter were amazing! They are extremely kid friendly and gave my kids an amazing first experience charter fishing! I recommend this crew for any and everyone. We were unable to go out for lingcod and rock fish due to weather but we all got our quota on Halibut and King Salmon for the day! We will definitely go out with them again on future charters! Great Job guys, we had an absolute blast!

The thing that impressed me the most about Ben was his determination to make sure we had the opportunity for a good fishing trip despite weather that caused many charters to be cancelled that day. The initial plan was to go as far as out we had time to do to target multiple species.  However, the weather was stormy with 4’+ waves.  Rather than cancel, Ben got with a friend, Jeff, who provided a boat that was a bit better equipped because of it’s ability to be driven from an upper deck which provided better visibility so we stayed closer and within some protected areas.  We didn’t catch anything which prompted Ben and Jeff to offer to take us to Seldovia for lunch and a little shopping.  We thought we were done so after the Seldovia stop, we were headed back to the marina when Jeff heard that another boat was having some success. They then asked if we’d like to go try.  Of course, we said yes and within 15 - 20 minutes at the new place we caught 4 silver salmon and two rockfish.  They asked if we wanted to go or continue fishing. My husband said, let’s catch one more.  That turned out to be a King Salmon.  The catch of the day for us.  I’m very happy that Ben and Jeff were so committed to make it a great day for us.

Captain Jeffery is second to none. His deckhand, Jarrett, was attentive and a lot of fun. They put us on fish and made sure we were confident in our abilities to land fish. We caught our limits and never looked back!
