Another amazing trip with Cesar on the Mystic Marlin!!  And to top it off we also had the pleasure of his Son as first mate.  After our trip last year with Cesar, we made sure to request him again and we were not disappointed!  This crew are true fishermen through and through.  No electronics needed, just experience.  And they put us on the fish…again! It was amazing to watch Cesar and his Son work as a team to chase the bait and set the hook.  I cannot say enough good things about them.  Even when we showed our inexperience with landing large game, he was right there with kindness guiding us through the whole process to get the catch to the boat.  Never missed a smile or a positive word, even when we’d miss the fish due to our mistakes.  If you want the true experience of a lifetime, book these guys!  Trust me, you’ll have many stories to share once you’re back.  And for a bonus tip, bring breakfast tacos and drinks for the captain and crew.  You’re generosity will be returned ten times over :)

Johnny and Cesar did a great job for us even though we didnt find many fish.  Comminication was excellent.  We came from a cruise so started a bit late (which didnt help our fishing chances).  They communicated well in advance with what to expect and directions to meet up.  Got us on the water super quick.  I asked to target Rooster fish even though its not the best time of year for them.  They tried hard, alternated between trolling for Mahi, Marlin and then in close for Rooster.  Only a couple strikes and nothing landed.  But the effort was there.  Boat is comfortable, has a workkng toilet and two fighting chairs.  Nothing too fancy but totally adequate.  I would use them again and recommend to others.

Booked this trip last minute because of the great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. We met up with the crew at the marina early morning and made sure to arrive at least 30min early to buy out licenses and some snacks. The bait was puchased right before leaving the marina. Johnny and Cesar were very attentive to our needs. We caught our first fish(Dorado) 30min into the trip. Then a Marlin a few hours later. Johnny was very helpful in assisting to make sure everything ran smoothly. He and Cesar made time to swing by
the Arches to take pictures with our fish. Our trip was only half day which was plenty of time. Water was a bit choppy but overall a good day with good weather. Next trip to Cabo we will definitely be booking with the same crew! Thanks guys for an amazing day!

Captain Johnny is so personable his taste is classic rock music is nothing short of awesome. The work that he puts into the trip was evident when we arrived. The boat was prepped and fueled we just put our things away while they started out of the harbor.

The fishing this day was awesome we hooked up on two mahi, two skipjack, and two striped Marlin and landed one of each. The marlin was released. 

We saw whales, turtles, sea lions, dolphin (mammals) and striped marlin just swimming at the surface. 

The water was a little rough but they did a great job keep the ride as smooth as possible.

All around just excellent. Oh and we had the fish prepared at the restaurant across from the boat slip. Captain Johnny brought the fish to them for us and they prepared it.

Again just an Epic day.

My son and I went out on Johnny’s boat today (November 11). Johnny welcomed us and was super helpful preparing us to fish. He provided all the fishing gear and tackle, just needed to have a license which we purchased right by his boat at the marina.

Within the first hour we caught 2 Mahi Mahi and a Tuna!!! So much fun! It was my sons first big fishing trip. We later requested to try and catch Rooster fish. He took us to a new spot and within 30 minutes we caught 2 Rooster fish. Johnny did an amazing job guiding us today and plan on going back again. Highly recommend BlueSea Sportfishing!
