  Incredible day on the water

  Half Day Trip – Inshore Ocean/Sound - 10:30 AM on August 18, 2026 • 6 adults • 4 children

  We had an absolutely incredible experience with Stolat Fishing Charters and Capt. Paul and mate Paul! We were two dads taking our four kids, ages 3–10, out for the day while the wives enjoyed a well-deserved kid-free day. We honestly weren’t sure how four young kids would do on a fishing charter, but Paul and Paul absolutely knocked it out of the park. After about a 25-minute ride out of the harbor, the lines went in and we were immediately on fish. What followed was about 2.5 hours of almost nonstop action. We had four lines out and at times were fighting three fish at once. The kids were absolutely ecstatic. What impressed us most, though, was how great they were with the kids. Paul, the mate, didn’t just help them reel fish in — he took the time to actually teach them how to fight the fish, work the rod, and then even let them hand-line the fish the rest of the way into the boat. He was patient, encouraging, and made sure every one of the kids was involved and having fun. By the end of our four-hour trip, we had landed 92 fish — 90 Spanish mackerel and 2 bluefish. More importantly, four kids walked off that boat absolutely thrilled and with a fishing story they’ll probably be telling for a long time. Capt. Paul and Paul exceeded every expectation we had. If you’re looking for a charter in the Outer Banks, especially if you’re bringing kids, we couldn’t recommend Stolat Fishing Charters enough. We’ll absolutely be back!

  6 Hour Trip – Inshore Ocean on May 27, 2026 • 4 adults

  I have been fishing in the OBX for years and after the last few years I made it a point to find a new captain. I explicitly stated I did not want to come back with nothing but blue fish. Obviously there is no way to just catch one type of fish in the ocean and Paul let helped give other suggestions like offshore and wreckage trips. However, we were more keen to stay inshore on this trip. All in all we caught 4 blues and the others were spanish mackerel (what I was looking for). I am not sure if we just got lucky or this was due in part to captain Paul knowing the area so well. Either way I couldn’t have been happier with our trip and would recommend him to others! Little Paul was great too! Oneal’s was also fantastic for fresh fish we did not catch and wanted.

  Thank you Dan, you guy's were a pleasure to have fishing with us, and even though we didn't kill it, it was a great time! As far as my strategy, you told me multiple times that you didn't want Bluefish, so yes, it was my plan to do what I did, I just wish it was a little better than what it was, but I definitely wasn't disappointed in our catch, it was definitely pretty good for what the morning was. We hope to see back in the near future. Thanks again

  Both Captain Paul and First Mate Paul were friendly and accommodating. Captain Paul was communicative before the trip and the first mate was a wealth of knowledge during. Great trip for beginners. At some times we had all four fishing poles with catch on them. Wear sunscreen and comfy clothes. Flip flops were fine. We caught blue fish and spanish mackerel.

  I Love These Guys!

  Full Day – Wreck / Deepwater Bottom on June 14, 2026 • 1 adult

  Once again, they listened to what I was interested in catching and then worked really hard to make it happen. They tried different places, rigs, etc., and not only did I have a blast, but I have a bunch of fish for the freezer. Besides all that, the boat is comfortable, and this father-son team are both so nice, respectful, and hard working.
