STOLAT Fishing Charters welcomes any angler to fish with them. Captain Paul and his mate have over 40 years of experience and take pride in providing the right trip for you and your group. Whether you are a seasoned fisherman, beginner, or family group with young children, you're in good hands.

STOLAT offers a large variety of trips. The Gulf Stream Trip is the ultimate fishing adventure, and lets you experience big game fishing at its finest. This trip targets Tuna, Marlin, Dolphin (Mahi), and Wahoo.

Fill your cooler with delicious fish on a Deepwater Wreck/Bottom trip. This is STOLAT's Specialty. Definitely our most productive trip which seasonally targets Tilefish, Black Seabass, Snowy Grouper, and Triggerfish.

If you prefer a shorter boat ride, we offer 4, 6, and 8-hour inshore ocean trips. Seasonally, these trips will target Spanish and King Mackerel, Bluefish, Ribbonfish, Cobia, False Albacore, or maybe even sharks.

Your trip includes everything necessary for fishing – all rods, tackle, bait, and plenty of ice for your catch. The professional mate will help you every step of the way, and dockside fish cleaning is always available.

You'll fish aboard a clean, fast and comfortable 42' Twin Diesel Sportfishing Boat. There is plenty of room to move around in the spacious cockpit, an air-conditioned cabin, and a clean private head which is not available on many smaller Outer Banks charter boats.

6 Hour Trip – Inshore Ocean on May 27, 2026 • 4 adults

I have been fishing in the OBX for years and after the last few years I made it a point to find a new captain. I explicitly stated I did not want to come back with nothing but blue fish. Obviously there is no way to just catch one type of fish in the ocean and Paul let helped give other suggestions like offshore and wreckage trips. However, we were more keen to stay inshore on this trip. All in all we caught 4 blues and the others were spanish mackerel (what I was looking for). I am not sure if we just got lucky or this was due in part to captain Paul knowing the area so well. Either way I couldn’t have been happier with our trip and would recommend him to others! Little Paul was great too! Oneal’s was also fantastic for fresh fish we did not catch and wanted.

Thank you Dan, you guy's were  a pleasure to have fishing with us, and even though we didn't kill it, it was a great time! 
As far as my strategy, you told me multiple times that you didn't want Bluefish, so yes, it was my plan to do what I did, I  just wish it was a little better than what it was, but I definitely wasn't disappointed in our catch, it was definitely pretty good for what the morning was. We hope to see back in the near future. Thanks again

I Love These Guys!

Full Day – Wreck / Deepwater Bottom on June 14, 2026 • 1 adult

Once again, they listened to what I was interested in catching and then worked really hard to make it happen. They tried different places, rigs, etc., and not only did I have a blast, but I have a bunch of fish for the freezer. Besides all that, the boat is comfortable, and this father-son team are both so nice, respectful, and hard working.

Had an amazing fishing trip with Captain Paul and First Mate Paul! Both were friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time. The fishing was excellent, and their friendly attitude made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend booking a trip with them!

Great time and a lot of fish

Half Day Trip – Inshore Ocean/Sound - 10:30 AM on August 12, 2025 • 4 adults • 2 children

We recently went on a fishing trip and had an amazing experience! Our captain was incredibly knowledgeable, knowing exactly where to take us so the fish were biting. We caught plenty and had a great time from start to finish.

One thing that really stood out was how considerate the captain was, especially since we had a young child with us. He made sure to keep things safe and fun for everyone, even taking a moment to stop and give our little one the chance to pull in his own fish — which absolutely made his day!

Between the great fishing, the captain’s expertise, and the thoughtful touches that made the trip enjoyable for all ages, we couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Highly recommend!

Thank you very much, we take a lot of pride in what we do. We love to have all kinds of groups on the boat, from experienced to beginners, and everything in between, but our favorite is children! My boy's were very young when I introduced them to fishing, and now one of them (Paul) is my mate, and works very hard to make sure everyone is included and has a great time. Great day of fishing.

Offshore/Gulf Stream Big Game Fish on May 18, 2026 • 2 adults

It was a slow start but we ended up catching more fish than all the other boats. Caught Wahoo and Mahi trolling and topped it off with Tile fish and Sea Bass. Captain and Mate worked hard to make it happen. Very pleased. Charlie did a great job cleaning fish for us at a reasonable rate.
