  Couple of buddies got together to try a different style of fishing. Capatin Greg was awesome! He took the time to show us what we needed to do and did everything in his power to put us on fish. It was sort of a slow day for fishing but we all caught fish and had plenty to take him. The trip was a big success and Captain Greg was willing to share his knowledge with us rookies. Definitley recommend them for future trips.

  Greg did such an amazing job and was very honest how they have been doing. We were texting the night before and he was explaining fishing really hasn't been the best for walleye because of the weather conditions. Kept a positive attitude going into the day and within 2 hours of being out there he had us on fish with 6 in the boat trying every spot he had in his chamber. Such a nice likable guy and very knowledgeable about the water he fishes daily. Grateful to be on his boat and having him guide me and my buddy. I've been on plenty of charters they definitely have little older boats but the experience completely disregarded it. Overall 10/10 GREG YOU ARE AMAZING, Garrett and I thank you!

  8-Hour Walleye Trip, 4–6 Anglers on July 7, 2025 • 6 adults

  This was our 2nd time fishing with Captain Ron of Mar-Lu fishing charters and we were once again treated to an excellent day of fishing. Unfortunately, Erie dealt us some rain, waves, and a tough bite, but Ron wouldn’t rest until we found some fish. Even on a day where the odds were against us, we still managed to come home with a freezer full of some nice walleye! If you’re looking for a fun day of fishing, we suggest booking with Mar-Lu!

  8-Hour Walleye Trip, 4–6 Anglers on July 9, 2024 • 6 adults

  We had the privilege of going out with Captain Ron of Mar-Lu Charters for a day of incredible Walleye fishing. Launching from Marblehead, we had a full party of 6 excited for a fun day on the water. Mar-Lu is a long time family owned business where comfort and connection is a clear priority. Unlike other charters I have been on in the past, every person in my party left 100% satisfied. Captain Ron showed us not only where the fish were, but provided the resources (bait, lures, lines, etc.) to ensure we were successful at brining in some Walleye! Additionally, we had some insightful fishing conversations, talked a little football, and even shared a few laughs. Not to mention, we limited out!!!! Realistically speaking, the day could not have gone any better. For anyone thinking about booking a trip with Mar-Lu, I advise you to do so ASAP. I guarantee that you will not leave disappointed.

  Great Day Drift Fishing

  8-Hour Walleye Trip, 4–6 Anglers on June 8, 2024 • 6 adults

  Our group was looking to get out on Lake Erie and catch some walleye, but didn’t want to exclusively troll for fish. Mar-Lu Sport Fishing Charters offered the option to actually throw lines and drift fish, allowing us to feel like we really fighting to catch some good fish, rather than the classic trolling for walleye where the tow of the boat dampens that fight factor. We had an awesome full day out on the lake, caught plenty of walleye (even though the captain mentioned the day was slower than usual), and would highly recommend Mar-Lu Sport Fishing Charters for anyone looking to do some real fishing.
