Mar-Lu Sport Fishing Charters is a family-owned and operated fishing resort that operates out of their own marina with a motel and cottages. Our boats are 28’ Marinette Sportmen, aluminum fishing boat. It’s powered by a 270 HP Chrysler Marine engine and can fish up to 6 people. It’s got quality GPS, fishfinder, and radio systems that will help you reach the fish quickly. The boat’s also got a private toilet you’ll have at your disposal.

Captain Ron uses light tackle and specializes in drift fishing. You’ll have the opportunity to fish hands-on, feel the hit, set the hook, and fight the fish all the way to the boat. This way there will be no drag of a motoring boat and the distractions of excessive hardware and tackle. You’ll be targeting Walleye, the jewel of Lake Erie, well known as the Walleye Capital of the World.  You can bring kids on your trip and you’re free to keep all the fish you catch following size and creel limit laws.

Fish cleaning is available from a local fish cleaner whi will pick up your catch right at the marina and have them prepared for you quickly.  Fishing cleaning rates are set by the fish cleaners.

The captain will provide all the tackle, bait, and ice for every trip, but you’re always welcome to bring your favorite medium-action rod and reel if you want to. Before you go, just make sure you’ve packed your licenses, food, and drinks.
