Captain William has always enjoyed fishing. Both freshwater and saltwater. By the time he was 12, he became passionate about Bass fishing. He started fishing club tournaments while in high school and then the new Operation Bass Redman Tournament Trail after college. The captain has extensively studied Largemouth and Spotted Bass and their forage, which makes him an expert in the species' movements and their habitats. He didn't stop there, while living in Myrtle Beach, he had to challenge and study the big Redfish in the Little River and Murrells Inlets. Captain William is an extremely diverse angler. The captain also makes and paints almost all of the baits he fishes with. While a full-time Law Enforcement officer, Captain William managed to fish the FLW Tour as a Co-Angler in 2011 and qualified for the Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Lanier in 2012. He has recently retired after a career in Law Enforcement. He loves teaching people to fish and wants to take you on a Fishin' Adventure!

    Fishing with the grandkids…and their dad

    4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) • 4 adults • 2 children

    Captain Bill did a great job considering he had an 8 and 3 year old on the boat. While we weren’t fortunate enough to catch any keeps, he worked hard to keep them engaged. The boys are already asking when we can go out again. I appreciate all the Captain did to make this a memtoable experience for them. Hopefully they fall in love with ocean fishing and continue this for years to come. Thanks Captain Bill, we appreciate your time and efforts.

    We had a great trip with Captain Bill! He was very knowledgeable about the lake and super accommodating. I would highly recommend this trip if you are planning on visiting Lake Marion!

    Great Trip

    4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) • 4 adults • 2 children

    We went out on a beautiful, but hot day and caught several species (black seabass, flounder, sand shark, oyster toad to name a few). Bill was great, and worked hard to find the fish and keep our lines in the water and reeling them in.

    This was our second year with Capt. Bill and again, it was a great trip. We brought our 5 year old daughter this year and he was so attentive to her. We caught a lot of fish and had another memorable trip. See you next year!

    Great day on the water. Had a change of plans dur to weather but still caught some nice redfish, several black sea bass and hooked 2 shark. Highly recommend this charter and Captain Rogers if you’re looking to hit the water.

    Our guide was phenomenal and knowledgeable. He felt like a friend instead of a guide. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a fishing guide in this area. We had a bass fishing trip. The boat held two and the guide. My father and I relived our fishing days when I was growing up. We were successful and caught many different fish.
