- I got into fishing from doing summer vacations on Bass Lake and I just progressed from Bluegill and Largemouth fishing into ocean fishing. I have been running charters since 2015, having earlier been a commercial fisherman. My favorite thing about running charters is all the great people I get to meet and make lifelong memories for them and myself. Techniques are constantly changing, every year or even every day. The ocean is constantly changing so you have to adapt to new techniques all the time. We’ve caught anything from big 200+ lb Bluefin to big Striped Marlin, but by far our favorite fishing is for our bread and butter fish: the California Yellowtail.
