Highly recommend Mitchel Haydel for your next charter, we had varying degrees of experience from first timer to seasoned anglers. Mitchel was enthusiastic, engaging and always positive, he made sure everyone was getting help or advice and good conversation. The day seemed to wiz by fast which meant we enjoyed a day that we had to grind out some fish until the last stop, when we landed 2 PB redfish back to back on our last two casts! Mitchel was about as excited as we were so you have to love that! We are already planning to go back out with Mitchel later this summer/fall and kayak trips in the winter. Can’t say this enough Mitchel is great charter guide that’s gonna make sure you have a good time on the water.

Captain Mitch was excellent. I have been a fishing guide myself in past years so I know how hard of a job it can be. He went above and beyond to make sure we were on the fish all day. Had excellent decision-making throughout the day to keep us on the fish as other charters in the area struggled, we kept on catching. He would also network with other charters to help them out so their clients could have a great experience as well. We caught almost every species the Louisiana Delta has to offer. Captain Mitch also went out of his way on some special requests that I had. My wife and son also had a blast. I don’t know when, but we’ll be back.

This was hands down the best thing we did while in NOLA.  The fishing captain was knowledgeable, professional and a lot of fun.  His equipment was top of the line and the boat was really nice.  He knew several places where the fish were biting and because I was having trouble casting right where they were biting he would do it for me ensuring that I had a great time catching fish.  Can’t say enough good things about the trip - worth every penny.  Almost forgot to mention the Captain will drop you at a restaurant that will cook up your catch for you.  Whatever you do book Captain Mitch and have a great day on the water

We had a fabulous time with Mitch today! I was a little nervous taking my 5 y/o boy and 12 y/o daughter out, not knowing how they’d do- that all went out the window when my boy ran up to Mitch, hugged him and said, “Are we gonna catch fish?!” Mitch hugged him right back and said, “Heck ya, Bud…. Man I LOVE kids!” The rest is history. We rocketed out and hit spot after spot, trying to get on the fish. We found a good hole and put more than enough for dinner on the table. Mitch helped my daughter run the net, get her line out, chatted me up about local duck hunting and laughed as I chased my boy around the boat trying to put on sunscreen. We had the best time and it was all Mitch. Incredibly happy with the experience and pounds of filets I took home. Thanks, again!!

We had an amazing time. Mitch called us and let us know that he’d been watching the weather and certain areas may be unaccessible. We appreciate that he was looking out for those conditions. My 9 year old son has been super into fishing lately and I myself have never caught a fish. Mitch was great at explaining to my son how to cast and my son caught a catfish within the first 30 mins!!! He caught 2 other fish. My fiance caught 2 fish as well and I on the other hand still have not caught a fish. I will say I appreciate Mitch, he stuck with us till the end trying to get me a fish. Even had me at the dock while he got the boat out of the water trying to catch something. Still no luck but maybe next time. Mitch also recommended at place about 5 min from the dock that we could take our fresh catch to and have them cook it. He even drove us there!! It was amazing. I would highly recommend hiring Mitch!! We will def do it again!
