I hope that this review does justice to how much fun that we had one this fishing trip. The communication leading up to the trip was great, Captain Mitch answered all my questions and was very helpful with providing information. We were watching the weather very closely, and Mother Nature did not cooperate on this day. The forecast called for thunderstorms and strong winds. Captain Mitch advised that we could cancel the trip due to the terrible weather conditions. My GF and I were excited to fish and asked if we could go anyway and he said that we could still go, just don't expect great results due to the weather. We understood the risk but still wanted to go. Despite the awful conditions, Captain Mitch pulled some rabbits out of his hat. Despite never redfishing before, he taught us how to catch redfish, and showed tremendous patience with my girlfriend and I. He was a great guy, that had great stories and made the trip fun. The end result was a fantastic day fishing. We had fish on throughout the trip and found some keepers for the table. Other Captains couldn't believe that he didn't cancel the trip and told him that there was no way that he was going to catch anything. Needless to say, Captain Mitch's skills were too much for Mother Nature that day. We are beyond grateful that he didn't cancel the trip and was relentless in finding us fish. If you are looking for a reason to book this charter, this reviee should be it. Great boat and fishing equipment, friendly and easy going Captain that produced in horrible conditions. My 9 yr old son and I had the pleasure of spending an amazing fishing trip with Captain Mitch. Before the trip started there was great communication. On the day of the trip we took an Uber to meet Mitch at the dock. We visited many spots including Little Lake and Bayou Rigolettes among other hot spots. The plan was to target redfish and black drums. We were pleased to catch a good amount of both redfish and black drums. Since we were leaving the next day, we only wanted to catch enough for a nice meal. We kept three redfish measuring in at 24” at 5 lbs and 18” at 2-3 lbs, and another one within the regulation size for redfish. We also had a nice black drum keeper and blue catfish keeper. Captain Mitch was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great attitude for my son and myself. My son asked him lots of questions :-) and Captain answered them all patiently. We felt comfortable the moment we met him as he was very warm and inviting. Very hospitable and we felt that vibe throughout the trip. He prepared all the shrimp bait and helped us with any tangles or snags. There was a cooler he had full of icy cold drinks for us. We were well taken care of. We watched and learned so much from Captain Mitch such as where to cast, how to maneuver the line and bait to reap the best outcomes. Finally, we headed back to the dock. Captain Mitch cleaned and filleted the fish and personally drove us to a nearby restaurant that that cooks your fish either grilled or fried. Amazing restaurant and loved how we can catch and eat the fish we just caught. So so delicious. Captain Mitch thanks so much for your attention to detail and being hospitable. You’re a good dude and we had a blast chatting, hanging and fishing with you. We will be back. The question will be is this an annual thing or will we be back even more lol. I can’t say enough good things about Bayou Paradise Fishing Charters. I wish I could leave more than 5 🌟for Mitch and his service. He certainly earned this and more! DO NOT hesitate to book a trip with this guy. There’s a reason Mitch has 5 stars across the board -he’s amazing. Communication with Mitch is outstanding. He goes out of his way to make sure you’re ready for your trip and does everything he can to accommodate your needs. He goes old school and actually contacts you by phone prior to your trip. And he’s just a super nice, friendly guy. My son and I have been fishing our whole lives -we know our way around the sport. And this guy is a PRO. Fishing had been slow during the time of year we were there. But not for Mitch! He got us on the fish immediately and we had our limit in half an hour. We were practicing catch and release, so we were able to continue to fish for the duration of our trip. When the action slowed down in one spot, Mitch would take us to a new one. And every time, he put us on stacks of fish. My son and I had been planning a trip to New Orleans for over three years, and fishing was to be the highlight of our vacation. Needless to say, our expectations were high, and Mitch exceeded these expectations. We will definitely return and book another trip with Bayou Paradise Fishing Charters. If you want a true Louisiana fishing experience, I highly recommend you do the same. Thanks, Mitch!

Captain Mitchel was absolutely phenomenal! We had a blast out on the water with him! Captain Mitchel - is fun, safe, professional, and knowledgable about the area! As folks who don't fish and go out on the water he was sure we learned, caught fish, and had a blast! We got the full fun and peaceful experience out on the water! Captain Mitchel also recommended a restaurant called Restaurant Des Families that would cook our fish for us and they too were great! We will definitely be coming back to fish and ride with Captain Mitchel 😊!!

Mitch was phenomenal!! We booked our trip for our son’s 12th birthday. It was important to us that he had the best experience, and without a doubt, he did! Mitch went above and beyond to ensure that! He caught fish, learned about some new fishing techniques and is ready to go again…but, only with Mitch!! Even after our time was up, he reached out later to check on our son that was stung by a bee. That meant a lot! Mitch is very knowledgeable, friendly and loves what he does! We will book again!!
