These waters hold game fish like Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Largemouth Bass, and more if you come at the right time of year.
Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, popping, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Mitchel will have some on board!
Capt. Mitchel will bring you aboard a 24' Bay boat with a capacity for 5 passengers. It comes with everything else you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures.

I surprised my husband with this fishing trip, and Mitch made sure we had a great time! We were hounded by bad weather in the morning, but Mitch went above and beyond making sure we were comfy, and when we were able to safely go out on the water we met our limit on drum. He gave us clear instructions on catching the fish making it easy for us to learn, and made the entire experience so much fun; you can tell he has fun and was excited for our catches. His fishing knowledge and experience were top notch! Basically all the hard parts of fishing were erased, and we only had to show up and do the fun part. We had a great trip; highly recommend if you’re looking to book a trip.
we had a great say but I wish I eoildnhave known rhe weather was gonna be like that. Yall were troopers and stuck it out with me. thank goodness bc it was a great bite as soon as the weather allowed us to get out there. Tell Kyle happy birthday again for me and hope to see uall again
Captain Mitch isnthe best we’ve ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Been on charters all over the Gulf states. Hands down our favorite trip ever. My son asked ifbwencan fish with Captain Mitch when he turns 21. We have 2 years, I’d book Mitch that far in advance. he is that good. Can’t express how fantastic Bayou Paradise is. My wife and son had such an amazing time. Not to mention we yanked down our limit!! Love Bayou Paradise!!!
My brother and I fished three days straight with Captain Mitch Haydel on Bayou Paradise. This review will serve for all three days. We can't say enough good about Mitch. He was so helpful, responsive to our questions and concerned that we caught enough fish that we had to calm him down and assure him that we were catching plenty of fish and having a great time. :) I (Bruce Dale) had so much fun that I hope to go back with my wife as soon as we can manage it. :) A couple of tips: First, swallow your dang pride and let Mitch do the casting for you. He can put that bait right where it needs to be 99 times out of a 100. And you will throw it in the wrong spot 99 times out of a 100. Second, talk to Mitch. He loves to talk. Happy Captain Mitch equals happy trip.

Captain Mitch was prompt and responsive with getting the trip lined up. Fishing trip started with handshakes and introductions with explanation of the day on the water. The Four of us and captain set out for the day Mitch is very family friendly and knowledgeable of the Bayou. After a short boat ride we were into fish and landing Reds. Know mind you we are a fishing group looking to add catching different types of fish to our resume and Mitch was on I. Fishing was tough with a cold front pushing into the area and out of the 3 guides running clients we were the only ones landing fish. Now with all the knowledge, stories and smiles we achieved the Louisiana Slam of 4 different fish landed Reds, Sheepshead, Flounder and Drum. We landed lots of fish and normally only do catch and release but kept a few for table fare. We highly recommend Bayou Paradise Fishing Charters and Capt. Mitch for your next fishing adventure.
