Happy New Year everyone! Our calander is officially open for the season and we are ready to rock and roll. A complete overhaul of our vessel has been completed this winter with brand new…. Our last few weeks of trips have been nothing short of amazing! The bluefin tuna do not want to stop showing up and chewing the paint off the boat. Great summertime action on all sizes from 20-200+ pounds. This hot fishing is happening on our 1.5 day and longer trips, our overnight and shorter trips are fishing yellowtail and tuna at the coronado islands and local offshore! We just added our annual lobster hoop netting trips to our schedule so if you are wanting a shorter trip and different style of fishing and want to bring home a basket of fresh Spiny Lobster please check those out!

Finally the time we all have been waiting for has arrived….. Biting Fish!!! And lots of them. Over the last couple weeks fishing has heated up where we are more and more consistently seeing huge schools of biting fish. Bluefin tuna from 40-200 plus pounds have invaded our waters. Its only been getting better and only will. Our last 3 trips in a row had full limits of big tuna and had to go home early! Daytime and nightime fishing happening with the nighttime hours still the best these fish have been putting on some crazy shows for us all! After a slow start to our season we are going full speed and these fish are finally cooperating! Our tuna specials and longer overnight and multiday trips are the ones to get on! Myself and the crew have touched inside and out every detail of the boat, brand new machinery and electronics, brand new sleeping arrangements, brand new audio and lighting, bait tanks and fishing equipment. The season has arrived! Our fishing offshore on our full day trips is HOT! Amazing fishing on yellowtail, dorado, yellowfin tuna and bluefin tuna! We have even caught a few marlin! As the temps rise and summer comes in we are seeing exactly what we want to see and that is a TON of fish coming into our waters! Our schedule is booking up quick! Nows the time to book your offshore adventure! Full day offshore trips are where it is at for these fish! Our half days and 3/4 day trips are still seeing good bottom fishing and as the water warms the bass in the kelp beds are becoming more willing to bite as well!

Good afternoon anglers! This is Captain Dylan with AF Sportfishing, I want to check in and wish everyone a Happy New Year! As far as fishing goes, we have a few options for you currently to come out and enjoy a beautiful day in San Diego! Currently we are fishing half days and 3/4 days. Our half days locally are targetting Sand bass, Calico Bass, Sculpin and Halibut. Our 3/4 days are fishing the Coronado Islands and other water down below the border targetting Yellowtail, Rock cod, lingcod, and other bottom critters! We still have availability to go out and do some hoop netting for lobster! Our lobster trips head out in the evening hours pulling hoops for some California Spiny Lobster! Besides a few windy and cold days, the majority of our weather lately and in the future forecast has been norhing short of fantastic! Calm seas and hungry fish. Before you know it we will be setting up the gear to go target bluefin tuna as well! Now is the time to get on our schedule as trips are being booked fast!
