- Captain Jason Scripter was born on the intercoastal waterways of Clearwater, Florida. As a true Florida native, he discovered his love for fishing in his adolescence, fishing often with his father on Caladesi Island, Phillipe Park, and the Sunshine Skyway bridge. At the age of 18, he started his fishing career as a deckhand on one of the head boats in the Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Since then, he has clocked thousands of hours offshore and inshore. Captain Jason is also known for much more than just his fishing skills. He is a master fishing rod builder, reel repair specialist, BBQ king, and he makes an award-winning fish spread!
- Techniques
- We like to fish with light tackle, live bait, cut/dead bait, and artificials. There are always a couple heavy rods on board for larger sharks, grouper, and tarpon. We love to fish bottom structure, grass flats, mangrove trees, and oyster bars.
