This is the guide to use. The Captain, Ricardo, and his mate are both so friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful, and hard working to make sure you have the best chance at catching fish. The boat is beautiful and clean. They are organized and always prepared. I’m an avid fisherman and I work on a charter boat so I can attest to their dedication. I would recommend this charter for anyone, from a family of first timers to seasoned anglers. Ricardo and crew have you hands on and actually doing the fishing, while they provide instructions, as opposed to some other charters I’ve been on where the crew does all the work and just hands you the rod when a fish is hooked and say now reel it in. We caught many fish and a great variety, and not just little nuisance fish. Ricardo targeted and we caught rooster fish, snappers, snook, mahi, and many others. Even if we had not caught fish I would give a 5 star review because the effort they put in to make sure you have a great day and the best opportunity to catch fish was very evident. We will be going with him again during our stay.

We went on a half day inshore trip with Riccardo and Carlos to target roosterfish and ended up catching 3!! Riccardo and Carlos were so energetic and friendly and made the experience so much fun. We enjoyed it so much that we went back out the next day to target Mahi for my younger kids and they caught 11 Mahi and a Wahoo! Carlos cleaned some of the fish for us and we were able to bring it to one of the marina restaurants to have cooked fresh for dinner. We had such a great experience and would highly recommend booking with Riccardo to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio!

Started off easily catching sardines for live bait, we meandered down the coastline to an area right off the beach that appeared to look very snooky. Then, my friend felt the bite with Captains Ricardo and Carlo knowing exactly what to do manipulating the boat and guiding my friend to land his first Rooster. Not too long after, bam!  The reel screamed off. I picked up the pole from the rod holder. It’s what I came for!  Mr. Snook took a couple leaps with a valiant effort to try to free himself darting in all directions. Not to be bestest, I successfully brought him next to the boat as Ricardo lowered the net. In the meantime, from behind Ricardo, Carlo beat Ricardo to the punch as he sank a gaff into the fat. 20 pounder. Mission accomplished!

I went to Costa Rica with my family and really wanted a fishing experience while in the area. Captain Riccardo gave me that and more. We took off on a sunny Thursday afternoon for several hours during which we caught more than a few fish.  Riccardo and his crew were instantly like freinds and did an amazing job explaining everything to me and my family. Within one hour I landed a mahi mahi and my family several others. I also landed a huge Snook a couple hours later, all of which we took home to enjoy.
After we got back to the dock Captain Riccardo personally took me to the grocery store and helped me pick out ingredients for his secret ceviche recipe and then drove us all back to the house we rented. This was an amazing trip and great value for the price. I will certainly be recommending that anyone in the area takes a trip on his boat. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

We started the day with a short run to load up on bait and filled the livewell with sardines in no time. Before we were even finished, the guys had us hooked up on a big jack and a Spanish mackerel, the action started immediately.

After that, we made a quick run to target roosterfish. We ended up catching four, including two really solid fish. It was truly an epic day on the water and one I’ll never forget.

Ricardo and Carlos were outstanding from start to finish , professional, dialed in, and worked hard to put us on fish all day. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an incredible experience.
