We had a great time with Captain Ricardo and Carlos. We booked two full day trips with them as our main goal in Costa Rica was to catch a rooster fish. Our first day out we had a lot of hook ups on possible rooster fish and we landed a nice one and a very large surprise snook. After that we changed spots and caught a variety of species jack crevalle, big eye jack, cubera snappers, rainbow runners and blue runners. We caught multiple “fish of a lifetime” on this trip and the action was nonstop it was one of the best days of fishing we ever had. Our second day we targeted roosters in the morning again and ended up with 4 on the boat and even more hook ups and a nice jack crevalle. Once we both had the rooster fish we were looking for (and even a double rooster!) we went in search of more snappers where we had lots of hook ups and got two nice ones in the boat. It was such a great time and I would highly recommend fishing with Captain Ricardo and Carlos, they are fish whisperers and are great at what they do. If you are looking for action you definitely want to fish with these guys, it’s non stop season! Can’t wait to come back and try for a triple tail!

We started the day with the goal of catching a big rooster fish on the top water popper, and Captain Riccardo knew right where to take us! I had fished for rooster fish in the waters around capos every year for four years in a row, but this was the best charter I have had there! Shortly after arriving at the first stop, we raised multiple large rooster fish on the popper (something I hadn’t seen there in all of the previous trips I’ve taken!). When the first one connected both, he and I went absolutely berserk with excitement and I was beyond pumped to land one of my biggest roosters ever on a topwater plug! His passion for the sport is top-notch and I am super stoked to get back down there and fish with him again next month. See you soon Captain!

Obvious extensive knowledge of the area and targeted species resulted in steady action. Boxes checked on “firsts” in 3 species for my wife and I. GREAT charter, beautiful area, Amazing fish. Highly recommend Idra Fishing Riccardo Puliti!

We had a great day of fishing! We caught 4 Rooster fish and a Jack Cravelle! Riccardo and Carlos worked hard to put us on the fish! I highly recommend Idra Sportfishing!

ricardo and carlo were excellent in every way- very patient and knowledgeable.  caught alot of fish. what else do you need.  i bet they would be very child friendly
