Background
I was born and raised in Houston, but Galveston has always been my second home. Growing up, I spent endless weekends and summers fishing off the surf and piers all around the island. Saltwater fishing and being on or near the sea have always been a passion and a sanctuary for me. After spending some time in the military, including two tours in Afghanistan, I was drawn back to Galveston for some much-needed rest and relaxation. But after some deep soul searching, my heart was moved to share my passion and sanctuary with others. I earned my captain's license in 2017 and started my veteran-owned business the following year. My motto is "Inspire Share Respect." I believe in inspiring others, sharing experiences, and showing respect for all life. Find your passion and pursue it relentlessly. I invite you to join me on an adventure and experience the thrill of saltwater fishing in Galveston. Let's make memories together and discover the beauty of the sea. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience, book your trip today!
Techniques
My preferred fishing technique at the Galveston Jetties is using live shrimp on lightweight tackle. The live shrimp serves as a natural and attractive bait that is highly effective in targeting species such as redfish, trout, sheepshead, and other common inshore fish found in the Jetties. Lightweight tackle allows for a more delicate presentation of the bait and a more natural fight when reeling in the fish. This technique is ideal for the specific environment and fish population found in the Galveston Jetties.
