Captain Rene with Bravo Zulu Fishing Charters gave us a top-notch experience from start to finish. From the moment we hit the water, it was clear he knows the area, the fish, and how to keep the trip fun, productive, and smooth.

He put us right on the fish—black drum, trout, and even a small shark that made my son’s entire weekend. Rene gave helpful pointers when needed but never hovered, making it easy to enjoy the moment. His laid-back yet dialed-in approach made the whole charter feel effortless.

The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the gear was solid. Rene handled everything so we could focus on reeling in fish and making memories.

Whether you’re an experienced angler or bringing your kid out for their first charter, this is the guy to book. I’ve done a handful of trips like this, and this one definitely stands out. Highly recommend Bravo Zulu for anyone looking to actually catch fish and have a damn good time doing it.

So it was a very calm day in the water.  We did catch a few game fish to keep and a bunch of others to use for bait (for larger fish).  We hooked one that put up one heck of a strong fight and ultimately broke the line. 

A while later we boated a nice spinner shark.

I wish we would have had more to take home for our trip, but the fish just were not cooperating on that morning.  That being said, Cpt. Rene tried very hard to put us on fish.  Including towards the end of our trip (last stop) I offered a suggestion and he took it to heart and we tried doing something different, but still no joy…

Wasn’t Cpt. Rene’s fault… it’s just how fishing goes sometimes…. even the top of the line best an do everything right, and it’s not as good as it should have been.

Would it fish with Cpt. Rene and Zulu Bravo charters again…. You can put money on it.  Would I recommend Zulu Bravo to anyone? , A B S O L U T E L Y.

This trip was a last minute surprise for my son.  I could not have asked for a better trip.  I can’t say enough about Captain Rene.  Within minutes of leaving the dock it seemed like we were fishing with an old friend of the family, not a charter boat.  It was great to catch fish and be with a Captain that both my son and I could laugh and talk with for the entire trip.  Captain Rene put us on fish and made the whole trip an experience that my son and I will remember and talk about for the rest of our lives.

What a great day and Captain Rene made it such wonderful experience for myself, my son and all the other boys. We caught tons of fish. I highly recommend Bravo Zulu. We will definitely be back when my son returns home. Was a great surprise that Captain Rene is a retired airman. Can’t say enough about this trip and Captain Rene. Thank you!

To start off with the Captain (Rene) was very much a professional and is one of the most respectful, clean, and attentive guides I have had the pleasure of booking. He cares about his boat (cleans throughout the whole trip, he takes his time to make sure you have fun and he makes sure you get fish.
