Fishing has always been my passion and since I was a small boy during the summer I could always be found on the shoreline with a pole in my hand. Over the years, fishing has become more than just a passion for me. It's a way of life. I have fished all over the world from the coast of Africa and South America to our local waters here in the United States. I have always found fishing to be both challenging, rewarding, and a great relaxation. I have gathered a tremendous amount of knowledge over the years and still to this day. Now I can typically be found off Montauk Point teaching others and keeping the rods bent.

5 Hour Trip (AM) • 3 adults • 1 childMy 8 year old son and I went for a half day trip in the morning and it was just stunning. Captain Jim and his wife Caroline made it a hack of an experience for my son and also myself. My son caught multiple fish under guidance of the two and pulled stripe bass on board himself. Even through the barrier of English language for my son from Germany he felt so comfortable and warm onboard that he doesn’t stop talking about this fishing trip Best regards Gunnar and Elias

14 HOUR TUNA TRIP • 4 adults • 2 childrenFantastic day with my kids. They have been asking about going tuna fishing out of New York for nearly a decade based on stories I have told them from my years growing up I. The area. Being in Georgia makes the trip difficult to time and coordinate based o. Their busy schedule at home. This year, stars aligned and I was finally able to fill my promise. My sons had a fantastic time and are already asking about next year. Captain James and Mike have helped me to establish what I hope will be many years of tradition with my sons, well into their adult years. They showed my sons a great time and we came home with a large amount of tuna and great memories of the best father son weekend I have had with my children. I highly recommend captain James to anyone considering a trip with him. He and his crew are knowledgeable, hard working and great guides. Thanks to them for making this the best time I could have hoped for with my sons!

5 HOUR TRIP (PM) • 3 adultsWe had the most amazing fishing experience with captain Jim and his mate Mark. The boat was clean, spacious, and fully equipped, and both Jim and Mark were so knowledgeable and eager to help us reel in the biggest catch. We began by trawling for striped bass and caught at least half a dozen huge striped bass that were more than 50 lb each! It was an unforgettable experience. We then went fishing for fluke and sea bass and that was equally fruitful. This was one of our best fishing charter experiences and we can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a fun day out at sea!

Great Day With The Tailwrapped Charter

We all had a great experience with Jim McSwigin and would recommend the trip to the experienced and inexperienced angler. Great first time fishing

Today we had Hollie-May, Caroline, Alvaro, Ed and junior anglers Danny & Vincent onboard "TailWrapped" for their first time fishing adventure in Montauk. They had an awesome time catching a limit of striped bass as well as blue fish. Everyone had a fantastic time and plenty of delicious fish to dine on.
