- Background
- Captain Mark Lorenc specializes in catching trophy fish in Lake Erie. He has been fishing the eastern end of the lake for over 30 years. Right after Mark graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering, he bought his first boat and started fishing Barcelona Harbor. Mark is a U.S.C.G. Master Licensed Captain and fishes Lake Erie as a full time guide from early April through the end of October. He is a father of two boys, who have inherited his passion for fishing.
- Techniques
- Rod in hand fishing techniques is always my first choice to catch trophy sport fish. This is most exciting and challenging way to catch game fish. For walleyes, this usually means bottom bouncing with my own hand made worm harnesses. For bass and perch, I prefer very light tackle with live or artificial baits.
