Jay runs a clean boat with solid gear. The boat worked just fine for our family trip of 3 adults and 2 teens. Had a good mix of trolling and bottom fishing. The kids got to fight some mackerel and a bunch of grunts and black bass.  Jay was willing to keep the boat moving to new locations when the biting would slow down. Jay and Chase worked hard to keep our lines wet and help with landing the fish. Overall a great experience for our trip to SC. Thanks gentlemen.

Best fishing trip ever! Jason knows everything about fishing.  My boys and I felt right at home on his awesome boat! We caught some big fish and an octopus!

When you book with a tour guide you never know what to expect!  This day was simply amazing!  From the bright early morning we were laughing and having a good time to catching our first fish within minutes of throwing out some lines!  Catching barracuda, Vermilion Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Porgy, King Mackerel, Shark, Ringtail and a baby bank sea bass! *Multiple Doubles*

These two guys played wonderful tunes all day and we’re excited with every bite that came our way!

My first official fishing trip with kids, but also with my dad!  Captain Jason May was outstanding from the start, all the way to the end!  We started on time at 7am.  Even though we did not catch live bait, Captain May was prepared with bait.  Once we dropped our lines, within minutes my daughter caught a King Mackerel.  We loaded bait and dropped line again.  Then we hit the what was called a “ Bucket List” catch.  We turned back to check the lines, when all of a sudden, a sailfish flew out of the water.  It missed the first line, but hit the next one.  My son, along with awesome instructions from Captain May, was able to reel in a 50lb sailfish.  We were so excited, shortly afterwards, everyone was heading to our spot.  Captain May was able to reach down and actually hold the fish.  We ended up catching 4 fish while on our trip!  I could not have asked for a more perfect guide.  Captain Jason May was phenomenal!  He was great with my kids and kept them entertained throughout the entire trip.  My dad is already talking about doing another trip very soon.  Highly recommend planning your next trip with First Response Fishing Charters.
