We had an exceptional trip.  The boat was nice and the equipment was top notch.  We were staying in a house on the bay which was on the way to fishing ground so Captain John offered to pick us up at our pier.  We caught our limit of trout and then switched to reds.  Caught a few reds with a nice keeper.  He brought us back to our pier at the end of the trip and cleaned and packaged the fish.  It was a great trip and we will book again with Captain John when we return to Rockport!

Have know John a long time but this was our first trip with him. We fished for reds and black drum and we were not disappointed. Caught a number of fish, even some oversized reds. John worked hard for us and made our day memorable. Will definitely use John again in the future.

My first personal experience booking a guide; Captain John was fantastic! Good conversation, informative and fun. Between my daughter and I, we limited it out on specks which was a grind today but John made it happen. Landed 3 really nice slot reds and really could have limited out as we broke off two and the the third spot the hook. I highly recommend booking and I plan to spring of next year!

Captain Wood is an excellent guide.  We’ve been fishing for many many years and never did we catch as many fish as we did with captain Wood!  It was a very fun and exciting time!  I’ve recommended him to my friends and they will be calling him to book their next fishing trip.  Thank you Captain for your professionalism and for teaching us several new techniques on catching fish!  It was a blast!

He’d a great time on the water. Captain Wood was an engaging and able Captain. The boat was awesome. Kids caught a ton of fish but no keepers. Lots of action nonetheless and they had a very fine time. Would recommended him.
