As most of you know the entire country with the exception of South Florida has been having some pretty nasty weather lately and South Louisiana is right there in the mix. We had 3 ays in a row with near normal tempsain so Mr. Mike called and wanted to go see if we could hunt up just one good redfish for his grill and as it turned out we were able to put 2 nice ones in the chest for him. The weather is settling into a normal pring attern and fishing is going to get hot soon,give us a call to get in on some of the action

Had Mr. Mokus and his friend Dan down from Philly for the Saint/Eagles game on Sunday and Mr. Mokus wanted to do some fishing so they set it up. We met at the dock for an absolutely beautiful morning,chilly but still a beautiful morning we headed out and the first stop was " One Stop Shopping" we got on some Trout right out the gate fishing Paddle Tail Baits on the bottom.. pop,pop reel with a steady retreave and they fell for the bait. We had a great time and Mr. Mokus landed his first ever Redfish 28" tipped the Boga at 15#

With passing of ur ry first good old front here in the south the White Shrimp are on the move and the Speckled Trout are lying in wait as they ake a mass exodfrom the marsh. Find the main channels from the marsh to the open water and your gonna find fish just ask any one of these guys. We made a few stops and on the third ne we found the hole... Had 69 Trout in just under an hour,had the brothers Mik and David as well as a friend whom it was his first time with us and we had a good day.

Had a former client out for a short trip he is local so I got the call Late last night about a possible trip this morning. The conditions were nice as far as wind and seas were concerned but no tide movement at all and a Full Moon starting tonight. We had 4 hours to find them and get some fish in the boat before the game today so off we went we made 3 stops only spending about 15 minutes at each place and we only had like 50 Live Shrimp so he had to make as many count as possible. The last stop proved to be the one with a sliding cork set up fishing about 8' deep he found some absolutely beautiful Speckled Trout for his Fish Tacos....

Had the privilege of spending the day with a lady that has never fished in her life, we started out with a little bit stiffer wind then anticipated so that meant we would stay inside and start working some interior bays and cuts from the marsh. We started out having her casting to get used to the feel of the rod and reel while her husband was catching some small Rat Reds(baby reddish) and just having fun. So I decided to make a move and see if we could find something to really get Ms. Claudia's attention and this move proved to be the right one with a pretty good falling tide I had her cast to a pocket of Slower moving water almost still and the first cast yielded her a beautiful Louisiana Redfish of 27" which she fought for a few minutes before we landed him. Her second cast landed her an even bigger Bull red and the fish she couldn't even close the deal on, she handed over the rod to her husband to close the deal. They both had an awesome day fighting some Monster reddish and for her very first time fishing Ms. Claudia did a Fantastic job.

Had a couple guys down for two days of fishing that are life long friends and as life sometimes does we find ourselves apart and able to stay in touch like we would like to. Kevin had booked a two day trip with his best friend Pat and we started out Tuesday working Breton Sound where we coaxed a nice Bull Red into eating an Avocado Matrix Shad under a cork while Kevin and Pat worked on some Trout with some live bait. Wednesday found us having to stay inside do to some un expected winds, so we headed to the Pumpkin Patch and I tied on some Spinner Baits and the guys went to work and they had a blast...
