Within minutes of boarding, we felt like we were fishing with a lifelong friend. Captain Jim was there on time, ready to go and just as eager as us to catch fish. He was extremely helpful in describing the best fishing techniques, willing to bottom fish and flat line simultaneously and very calm when tackle was lost to our toothy friends.

But nothing beats his efforts to land the 52” 45 lb Cobia we hooked towards the end of our trip. Upon sighting a cruising Cobia, Captain Jim expertly tossed a live bait in front of this monster and chaos ensued. At 45 minutes into the fight, the fish wrapped around the transducer and Jim laid on his belly and crawled out to free the line. WHO DOES THAT??? A total of 75 minutes of fighting 2 fishermen, many strategic repositionings of the boat and 3/4 of a mile later, this Cobia finally tapped out to an accurately placed gaff. It was an unforgettable moment for all of us.

I couldn’t say enough great things about the charter experience we had with Tim and Darius. From the moment we got on board it was a good time until we got off. We were instantly put right on the fish with snapper hitting again and again. Half way through we saw a chance at a couple Cobia and the experienced captain got us hooked on. Gave myself tips for over an hour of how to reel him in. Once on the boat he let us get right back on the reds to limit our. 10/10 experience and highly recommend, will book another charter next time I’m back, and you should as well.

We had a great time the captain and mate was very knowledgeable of the fish and had great fishing spots. I asked for them to put us on some big AJs and the first spot we went to they we there. We were unable to boat one but that is just fishing we did get to feel that monster pull of a large AJ. The rest of the trip they put us on 20 to 26 in snapper cannot keep out of season but caught enough to wear us out. And a few groupers along the way and a trigger fish or two. Wonderful trip and and great people. Will be back for future trips.  Heath York

Our trip was just all around a very enjoyable time! Captain Jim asked us if we just wanted to catch some first or did we want to catch fish we could keep to eat. My husband and I enjoy fish so we really wanted to get on some fish we could keep and that’s exactly what Captain Jim did! We caught so many fish! Some we couldn’t keep and some we could ! It was all around a FANTASTIC time and if you are wanting to go on a fishing adventure book with him! Great fish great conversation! Will definitely be booking with him again.

I usually don’t leave reviews but had to on this trip. Captain Jim and Darius are awesome!! We had a great time and both Jim and Darius couldn’t have been better! My wife has never fished before and had a blast. Our son is special needs and Jim and Darius went out of there way to accommodate him. Oh Yeah the fishing. Limited our on Red Snapper (6) caught one Grouper, one Flounder in 2 1/2 hours. I would give it five stars if we didn’t limit out but of course that is an added bonus. Book this trip !
