Casey was exceptional, and very accommodating and patient. I was a total fly fishing newbie. Had never caught anything on a fly rig in my life and basically didn’t know how to cast. With his coaching I was able to become a serviceable mouser by the first hour of the trip. Once I got the hang of how to do it I caught some fish! What was particularly impressive was Casey’s knowledge of the river. He basically knew where every brown trout lived on the river. Knew every bucket that the fish hung out in. Knew where to maneuver the boat to make the best casts. The overall experience was excellent. Night fishing was also completely new to me and now that I’ve done it, I can’t believe I didn’t think about it sooner. We had the whole river to ourselves. And time spent making productive casts was at a maximum. You make so many casts you go on autopilot after awhile and Casey is a great guy to talk to while you’re swinging away and zipping your mouse from bank to bank. He is very entertaining and personable and has some incredible stories to share. On our trip the forest really came alive at night with coyotes and fireflies that added to the experience. I highly recommend giving this a try.

What a great fishing experience with Casey! When I got there, he was already there loaded up and ready to go. He took the time to show me casting tips & to prepare me for our night mousing trip. His knowledge and passion for fishing brown trout is obvious & it made for a awesome & exciting experience! I’ve already rebooked a trip for next season.

Though the fish weren’t biting, my son and I had a great time. We were close a few times but they got away. The experience fishing at night was really cool. I would do again in a heartbeat.
