Overall we fished 9 hours with zero fish saw 1 Blue Marlin but nothing really else. Boat needs tower and ability to troll at least 6 lines vice 4. Capt and Mate are good and work hard but believe overfishing in Costa Rica because of longline boats off the coast

I understand fishing is fishing and there are good and bad days but this was one of those bad days.  The weather was probably the worst day during our vacation but due to cancellation policies I would not have been able to cancel or change unless the Capt decides.  The sea was very rough and a larger boat made the decision to go back in.  Our Capt continued on and after a couple hours realized it was worthless to try to fish.  So he suggested we head back which I agree, well short of our full day trip.  He called management and they agreed to reimburse 1/3 of the cost which was still slughtly more than the half day price. 

Im sure when the fishing is on fire this boat can get people on the fish but I did notice NO electronics were working on the boat.  He could not get the fishfinder hooked up so that was no good, all gauges were not working including speed, tachometer and fuel gauge.  Also, during one of our “catching air” off a large wave the side paneling of the boat popped off. 

Capt and deck hand were nice and I feel were trying to do what they could under the conditions but I think the management and/or Capt should have forseen the conditions and cancelled instead of trying to force it.

Its not all about looks or the bells and whistles on a boat but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with the operation.  When paying for a professional charter you would hope for better.

Guide was very nice. Did not speak much English. We went out for the morning and didn’t catch anything. I have been on multiple charters and have caught fish every time. Nice guide, just wish we caught fish.

Once we got to the boat. Captain asked us what we wanted to do. Which had already been determined but try to change our mind. Glad we didn’t!  Then we got fish for bait and took him 30min to untangle bait lure. Then didn’t catch nothing the next 30 to 40 min. Seems like he would had some type of bait . Nothing! Next thing he puts lures on line on trolls for the rest of the time and then takes us back to shore. The ride was dead silent.  Didn’t engage us or even try to make things better. Basically stayed on his phone. And talk to his mate. In Spanish when the both spoke English.  You will I’ll be wasting your day and your money with this captain if you want to call him this! Worst part of my amazing trip
