We could not have asked for a better captain, captain Russell called the night we booked the trip to discuss what we wanted out of the trip. I told him fish that wore us out….. and maybe a shark if possible. He put us right on the amberjack (what a fighter), our son caught a grouper but it was out of season and we caught plenty of amberjack and my son was hooked up with a 6-8’ shark but it broke off. Captain Russell was a great host. I took my nine and seven-year-old boys. Though the weather was still a little more chilly, Captain Russell still showed myself and the boys a wonderful time and all the spots to keep them busy catching fish. When we return to the area, we will be sure to give Captain Russell a call!

Myself and 4 others went on a 5 hour fishing trip with Captain Russell aimed at red snapper. We could not be more pleased with how the trip went. The boat had more than enough room for 5 adult men. Captain Russell had great communication (he called the night before to review weather and fishing plan), he was a genuinely great guy to talk with, and he put us on the fish for the whole trip. His experience and preparation were evident, and we plan to use him again for another fishing trip.

Captain Russell was awesome, he knew the spots and got us on fish within the first 3 min. The day was spent jumping around to his personal marked spots , we landed a bunch then off to the next spot. He treated us all very well, a very good time ! Thank you Captain Russell From the Iowa crew!

Being our first offshore trip, didn’t quite know what to expect but can definitely say not disappointed. Capt Russell provided a great trip, very knowledgeable, worked hard to put us on fish and did not let us down. Caught several types of different fish but most exciting if all landed a 22# black fin tuna. Great trip, great boat, great supply if rods and gear. Would recommend him for sure and will be back next year to fish again with him.
