We had a great day with Captain Hugo and his crew Jorge and Oscar.  We have done charters worldwide and have had the opportunity to catch amazing fish and spend wonderful days at sea in some spectacular places.  That said, the mates worked harder than most any I’ve seen at putting us on fish and the Captain was great at keeping us moving to find fish on an otherwise tough day.  The crew was phenomenal in being patient and helping our kids catch fish as well!

The boat is comfortable, spotlessly clean and made for a great day!

The highlight may have been Oscar making truly five star fresh ceviche from our catch on the ride back in.  It was the best ceviche we’ve ever had and you could tell he takes pride in it.

All in all, one of our better charters and we would definitely do it again.

Top notch fishing vessel. The captain and crew worked hard, and we’re friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the short trip with them, and boated 6 barracuda, which made the trip more fun for the kids and adults. They accommodated a unique pick up location on Isla Mujeres, which added a small docking fee of $6 USD per person, but was very convenient. We tried for other species in deeper water but no luck.  Still enjoyed the process. Had we known at the beginning of the day that we could have extended by two hours to fish for marlin and sail fish we probably would have taken that option, so if you want to pursue that book at least 6 hours.  I was told some food would be provided, but we were not offered snacks or ceviche, which is something offered by a much smaller operation that we used a few days earlier. The beer / soda was minimal (bud light and pepsi). I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks, or requesting/clarifying ahead of time if that’s important to you.

We’ve been after Sails 3 times this year and finally mission accomplished! Capt Hugo and his mates had us on baitfish often and were very skilled. We set out with ballyhoo rigs and cigar minnows and caught 2 bonito - 1 about 35lbs! w/6 rigs out most the day.  Around 1 pm we were about 30-40 miles out and knew we were in the right area as several custom Carolina’s and private Vikings trolled in circles. Large schools of baitfish were surfacing often, birds started diving, and lines started running. After few missed hits and a slow period - Capt Hugo passed down a rod with fish on! He was running for about 15 minutes before giving an inch. Good fight but we thought Tuna because we never got the jump but eventually he came up. 7 ft Sail Hooked by the tail! It was a dream made & a beautifully renovated boat.

Bring cash & your own lunch if fishing hard all day.
If you get sea sick beware it’s pretty rough outside the Isle. My wife and I really enjoyed it and hope to come back soon!

Could not have asked for better, awesome crew, great boat and gear. After a fairly slow morning A lot of captains would just keep grinding out the same spot to save fuel but our Captain kept pushing out to new locations in search of sailfish because that’s what we were most looking for. We ended up Landing three sailfish, Lots of Bonita and mahi with only 2 of us on the charter. These guys work hard to get you the fish you want and fresh ceviche from your catch is best I’ve ever had. Thank you Hugo, Jorge and Oscar you made this a trip of a lifetime for my son and I!!!

I took some work friends out on a 6 hour fishing trip and we had a blast. The captain and crew work their butts off to get you on fish. The boat was spectacular, multiple seating locations, comfortable floor and smooth ride.
