Captain Steve has been fishing Lake Erie for over 40 years and has seen the ups and downs of fishing here. But, he says: '...it is truly the most amazing fishery I've ever seen.'. And we believe him. With Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Perch, and other species available most of the year, Lake Erie is a great fishing destination. Steve also participated in tournaments for six to seven years and says his favorite fish to catch is Walleye, with Bass coming into a very close second place due to their good game quality.

    Great day on the water!

    we had 4 teenage boys out for some fishing and learning how to fish from a boat. the captain was patient and helpful with them. would definitely go out with him again.

    first time on a charter

    Half Day Trip • 3 adults

    my son and granddaughter had a great time. we almost limited out when others had caught only one walleye. we caught walleye, perch and a Bass. let's not forget the sheepheads that put up a good fight. the captain cleaned the fish for a small fee and did a great job.

    Great time with Capt. Rumer!

    Half Day Trip • 6 adults • 3 children

    It was our first time fishing for Lake Erie walleye. We fished with a group of six that included both experienced and novice adults and kids. We ended up catching 29 walleye plus several undersized throwbacks. Also got a bonus catfish and drum for my wife and younger daughter, respectively. Overall, it was an enjoyable family trip that we all agreed was worth repeating.

    We booked our 1st ever trip for our grandkids in May but didn't think it would be 98 degrees. They were able to catch a lot of fish in the 4 hours. Steve was very patient with our grandsons and we all enjoyed our time on the water.

    The experience with Capt. Shannon was great. Me and the other 3 fellas were very pleased with our limited catch of walleye. Capt. Shannon Rumer was very informative and his boat was the perfect size for 4 people or 6 people to fish.
