Very disappointed with our trip. We have lived and fished in Cape Coral and Fort Myers for almost 20 years. We take our son on a charted every year for his birthday. This year we had ideal fishing conditions, but our captain couldn’t put us on any good fish. He had a hard time cast netting, and he was only able to get about 7 or 8 bait fish. This resulted in using shrimp all day. We asked to target Snook and he never changed our rig out from the Trout setup he had on all his rods. I have never heard of fishing for Snook with a bobber. We caught one trout that was barely over 15”, and everything else were dink fish or catfish. No snook or any other decent fish. I would look for a captain that has a little more experience fishing in this area. The boat was really nice, but a good boat can’t catch fish, a good captain can.

We just wanted a relaxing and enjoyable morning of fishing but Al criticized my friend relentlessly. We didn’t know we were going bobber fishing; neither of us had done it before. We didn’t know we had to watch the bobber at all times. When my friend turned away for just a second, even just reaching for his water bottle, Al made fun of him. Made fun of him all day. Al was the only one available at the last minute and now we know why.
