Things have been exploding offshore with the recent warm trend. Lots of activity out of every species of fish right now. From sight fishing Cobia and Baracudas to chumming the Mangroves and yellow tails up to the surface! There are also plenty of sharks out there for anyone who is interested in pulling on them. The next coming months bring some of the best fishing offshore. Lots of different options moving forward.

The weather has straightened out and has given us opportunity for some epic fishing. Wreck and bottom fishing has been very productive with various Snappers and Cobia chewing well. There is also opportunity to go fish the shrimp boats for Tunas and Cobia. This is a very unique and exciting style of fishing we only get to do certain times of the year. This month will yield great fishing that will trail all the way into the spring.

The cold has been nonstop down here in Naples, FL. We're getting cold front after cold front but it hasn't slowed down the fishing. We're still following our winter time pattern and using our typical winter tactics. The Inshore bite has been consistent as quantity is the name of the game this time of the year. The Trout have been the main staple in the backcountry with a couple Redfish here and there and some Snook as well. With the drop in temperatures the big Sheepshead have been getting fired up as well. The nearshore bite has been yielding a great bottom bite with plenty of Snappers and Sheepshead for dinner with some Gags and Goliaths to pull on for something bigger. Offshore has been our ticket recently for bigger gamefish. There is a great snapper bite out there with plenty of Amberjacks to pull on. There have been some Cobia out there as well. This will be our theme until we start getting some warm up periods in February. This is the best time of the year to fish for those seeking out eating fish! Once we progress more toward spring we will shift gears from meat fishing over to sport fishing. We are filling trips on the daily for the upcoming spring. With the recent temperature drop down into the high 40s and nothing but stiff north wind for the foreseeable future it’s safe to say winter is here. As we move into winter fishing things will change inshore and offshore. Lots of backcountry fish will head way back into the shallow creeks seeking refuge from the cold and dirty water. Our prime inshore targets during the winter are Redfish, Trout, and sheepshead with some Snook mixed in as well. Offshore fishing in between the fronts when the wind lets up can be extremely good. When you get a chance to get out there after things have been cold, dirty and rough the fish are always starving! The typical staples we target will be around with some additional ones like kingfish and sheepshead showing up on the scene. Fall fishing is in full swing down here in Naples, FL. The recent cool down in temperature has been a nice change of pace for everyone, including the fish! All of the typical fall suspects are around. Offshore we're seeing nice schools of Cobia on the wrecks with lots of other options to fill the gaps as well. Bonitas, Barracudas, Jack's, Goliath's, Snook, Mackerel, Snapper and triple tail have all been common catches on our recent offshore and nearshore trips. Inshore fishing has been very solid as well with many fish heading deeper into the backcountry in anticipation of winter. Snook, Redfish and jacks have been very steady with some trout mixed in as well. The bait is plentiful, the weather has been beautiful and the good fishing is just an added bonus! We have some limited availability for the upcoming holiday week so book accordingly!
