Fishing is Awesome!

Fishing has been great despite the wind, rain, hot and cold this last week. There are still some fish spawning, but most of our fish this week came off transitions from rock to sand or dark bottoms. Water started in high 50s last weekend got up to 62 with the warm weather early in the week and cooled back to the high 50s by end of week. Fishing will continue to be great. Late July and August are big fish time and I have some prime dates available.

Lots of fishing in July. We had a great month with lots of fish out of West Bay, and many over 4 and 5 pounds, big fish for the month was a whopping 6.5# caught out of 20' of water on a Quiet Cove ned jig. Season is winding down but August is big fish month.

Awesome day on West Grand Traverse Bay

Saturday was another great day fishing West Bay. Fish will remain shallow with a lot of nice males making beds and larger females cruising around. Had friend from the Upper Peninsula out for their first trip on the bay, the fishing didn't disappoint!

Fishing is on FIRE in Taverse City!

Fish are shallow and very active right now and for the next few weeks. Sight fishing for pre-spawn and spawning fish has been the ticket this last week and will only get better with water finally hitting that magic 60 degrees.

Overall great experience from start to finish Fishing was slow and bites were hard to come by, but we never stopped moving and looking for the next bite. Captain Jack was awesome and worked hard to get me on fish all day! Definitely recommend
