Matt Brockman
Member since October 2021
Port Orange, United States
- Background
- Captain Matt has always had a passion for the outdoors from a very young age. Fishing has always been a large part of his life growing up in Central Florida, fishing the neighborhood ponds for Bass as well as New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon as often as he could. He bought his first boat at the age of 14 and hasn’t been without one since. Inshore fishing also has a special part in Captain Matt's life, as he fished local Redfish tournaments since the age of 15. In 2016, he moved to Tallahassee to attend college and discovered St. Marks and the Forgotten Coast. He fell in love with the incredibly diverse fishery and ecosystem this Florida area offers. The captain spent the last 5 years exploring and learning this vast environment and decided this is where he would like to start his professional fishing career. Now Captain Matt would like to take all the knowledge he's acquired and share it with his clients!
- Techniques
- Captain Matt has been push poling and sight fishing Redfish for as long as he can remember. He's also been throwing the flyrod just as long. Whether sight fishing with artificials or using the proper live and cut bait, he's willing to adapt to your preferred method and make your experience on the water one you won’t soon forget! The captain has lots of experience catching and using live bait as well as getting dialed in with artificial and fly. No matter your skill level, from novice to professional all are welcome aboard!
