KJ's Outdoor Adventures Guide Service specializes in Freshwater and Saltwater fishing on the upper and lower Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers. We also guide on beautiful Lake Anna. As a kid my dad would take me fishing at Smallwood State Park in Marbury, MD. My first fish was a Catfish that weight around 5 pounds. I was amazed. I just thank God I am able to do what I do. I love kids and enjoy taking them fishing. I got into tournament bass fishing back in 2003 and have enjoyed ever since then. Have learned a ton of stuff since then and hope to teach my clients as well. I have also lived in Montross, VA where Big Stripers live and also a growing Redfish population. I have fine tuned finding big tasty White Perch, #1 Spot and Croaker. My inspiration comes from my Mom and Dad. RIEP Mom. 30+ years of on the water experience, USCG Licensed and Insured.

    6 Hr- Lake Anna Crappie Fishing • 2 adults

    Captain Kris delivered an exceptional crappie fishing experience on Lake Anna. He was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive—going as far as to give my friend (a first-time fisherman) his own sweater when the temperature dropped. We caught about 30 crappie, a bluegill and maybe 10 white perch and released more than half (all of the small perch), and even landed an unexpected blue catfish. Chris knew the lake inside and out and made the day both productive and enjoyable. Highly recommend booking a trip with him!

Got Salty with Spot and Perch.

We went out looking to start the day for Stripers. Tides were very swift and affected the bite negatively. We tried hard to get at them. We then switched over to catching some nice White Perch on ultra-light tackle and had a blast. We also did some bottom Fishing using Bloodworm flavored "Fishbites." We caught more Perch and Spot. Even caught a small Croaker.
