Potomac will be either: Fairview Beach Yacht Club, Hope Springs Marina, Leesylvania State Park.
Upper Rappahannock: Hopyard Farm and Hick's Landing.
Lower Rappahannock: Norview Marina and Yankee Point Marina.
Lake Anna: High Point Marina and Sturgeon Creek Marina.
Capt. Kris will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Catfish, Bass, Snakehead, Perch, and Hybrid Striped Bass, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping and spinning.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 19' Triton TX-186 boat that can safely take up to 2 anglers.
All rods, reels and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Saltwater trips will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day, but you will need to buy your own freshwater fishing licenses. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Captain Kris delivered an exceptional crappie fishing experience on Lake Anna. He was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive—going as far as to give my friend (a first-time fisherman) his own sweater when the temperature dropped. We caught about 30 crappie, a bluegill and maybe 10 white perch and released more than half (all of the small perch), and even landed an unexpected blue catfish. Chris knew the lake inside and out and made the day both productive and enjoyable. Highly recommend booking a trip with him!
This was an amazing experience. Capt Johnson made my son and I first time fishing memorable. He taught us how to fish and we had a great time out.

As a kid my dad would take me fishing at Smallwood State Park in Marbury, MD. My first fish was a Catfish that weight around 5 pounds. I was amazed. I just thank God I am able to do what I do. I love kids and enjoy taking them fishing. I got into tournament bass fishing back in 2003 and have enjoyed ever since then. Have learned a ton of stuff since then and hope to teach my clients as well. I have also lived in Montross, VA where Big Stripers live and also a growing Redfish population. I have fine tuned finding big tasty White Perch, #1 Spot and Croaker. My inspiration comes from my Mom and Dad. RIEP Mom. 30+ years of on the water experience, USCG Licensed and Insured.
