- Background
- Captain Stoney has always hunted and fished from a young age. All through his school years, he used to ride bulls and horses. He had a bunch of jobs from breaking horses, remolding houses, and construction to welding and fitting in fab shops. The captain fished every chance he got to around work. He started winning money in tournaments regularly and decided on being a tournament angler full time, which helped him become a more developed angler. Guiding was always an option in his mind to help bring extra money in, plus he already liked helping other anglers and passing on the knowledge he'd acquired. If he could work and be successful while living the dream... why not? Hopefully, in the years to come, he'll still be fortunate enough to keep doing it.
- Techniques
- For Captain Stoney, flipping or topwater is a hard tie. Flipping docks, stumps, brush, laydowns, and grass is his go-to year-round. From worms, creatures, and jigs, that’s something you can use on any lake during the whole year and catch fish.
