This is a tour where you actually fish. The crew just doesn’t hand you a rod and tell you to real.

My wife and I had a great time fishing with Captain Ray on the gulf side and caught lots of nice Snapper, Grouper, and even hooked a Cobia.  We really appreciated his focus on us having a great experience.  His knowledge of fishing and navigating the area is clearly outstanding and we really enjoyed talking to him and learning a lot about many aspects of being on the water and fishing in the area, as well as many other interesting facts.  He was a lot of fun to fish with and gave us a lot of good advice on fishing from the shore and bridges on our own near where we were camping.  We are looking forward to booking a trip to the Atlantic side when the weather allows.

Captain Ray was great really great. He called us a few days before the trip to find out exactly what kind of trip we were wanting. It was really windy and he made suggestions on different days and times to have a better experience. Unfortunately we did not catch anything (except a little shark) but Capt Ray worked really hard to try to get something for us. He even kept us out extra time to try to hook a fish. I think he was just as disappointed as we were that we came back empty handed. We will definitely be booking another trip with Captain Ray next time we are in the Keys.

Chartered our trip a a birthday present for my father. They promised us mahi-mahi; we came back with so much more! Not only did we come back with six mahi-mahi (and one tuna), we got to experience the sea on a beautiful day (a little sunshine, a little overcast, and even a nice little shower) out of sight of the land. The flying fish skipped around behind us and ahead of us, a few jellyfish drifted by, and we ended the trip drifting for a moment over the coral reef, peering down into the clear water, and even sighting a sea turtle! Our guides were professional, friendly and helpful, and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about their work, and about making our experience as good as they could - while keeping it real. We definitely plan on going back, and seeking out their services again!
