My son and two of his friends (each 15) went out with Connor on Saturday morning for a half day trip. They had a fantastic time, catching several fish (around 10 total, 6 keepers). Connor was patient, informative, and very helpful. Highly recommend using these guides!

May fishing trip

Great experience. Just a hard time of the year catch certain species. 

They had a great time and Connor was an excellent guide. Caught lots of fish would highly recommend him. 

Dad and son’s trip.

Connor called right away to confirm details and let me know that his dad, Randy, would be guiding us that day. It's a family business, and Connor had to work a different job that day. Connor was very responsive, and although I'm sure he's a great guide, I'd want Randy again if and when we come back. He showed us all the great spots and, although we missed a few fish right away, we eventually caught a giant striper—my first ever! We caught a 4-foot gar and few sand bass later in the day, though things died down quite a bit after 8am. Still, Randy had some good stories to tell, and that one striper made the trip worthwhile.

Randy said crappie trips can be hit-or-miss this time of year. They apparently offer catfish trips as well, but Randy mentioned that he needs advance notice if you want to target those specifically.

Great experience with a family business

Captain Randy Wood displayed a lot of experience and put us on the fish. We caught catfish and good-sized strippers. 

Great experience 

There are so many variables involved with a guided trip. Weather, wind , time of the year , are the fish hungry that day. Overall I think I was able to understand the techniques and appreciate our success despite not getting a lot of action. But when we did, it happened fast and furious. 10 pounders are nothing to sneeze at. 🙌
