Shayne is a great Captain. Our party of four is completely new to ocean fishing. We had a blast. We were catching Sheephead steadily. Never a dull moment. We also picked up a couple Blackdrums, Flounder, PigFish and we even snagged a Stingray which we promptly released. Captain Shayne is an all around great guy. We lost quite a few hooks and weights, but he just smiled and kept us fishing. He was very knowledgeable about the area and happy to share his fishing experience with us.

If you need a guide Shayne is THE guy!! I have been out several times in the bay and his service was hands down the best. I took my two boys with me this trip. Both less than 10 years old. They are avid freshwater fishermen but this was the first salt experience for them. Shayne was very patient with them and all of their questions. He showed them many new tricks and tips. We booked the afternoon four hour trip. The weather had just recently changed and we were told the fish weren’t biting. But Shayne had no problem finding us fish. My 13 year old caught fish he’d not caught before and was pretty pumped some of them put up a good fight. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and should we find our way back down here, we would definitely book with Shayne again.

Great trip!  I have done a lot of fishing over the years, just not much catching.  When we reached our first location and Shayne said when we catch our trout limit we would head over to catch drum, I just chucked to myself.  An hour later, we were fishing for drum.  Where we caught our limit as well! Can’t say enough about fishing with Shayne! My brother and I came down to learn some more about fishing the Laguna Madre and Shayne had a wealth of knowledge and experience. He put us on the fish fast and we caught about 15 trout over 20 inches that we had to put back and got our limit with slot fish also. Fantastic day!
