It's been a brutal summer so far with record-setting temps. The water temp is nearly 90° in the harbor and hotter in the creeks. Lits of juvenile trout and slot Redfish being caught in the early mornings and sharks are thick in the harbor. Bull Redfish bites are good when they are good and bad when they are bad. Did I mention it's HOT!!

With the water temps dropping, these Redfish are beginning to school up and can be found in super shallow water!

Spring break fishing…could not of asked for a better fishing charter and Captain. Captain Justin was awesome from the start making sure everyone was catching fish and having fun! Very attentive and easy to be around, Captain J always made sure the lines were baited and in the water. When the fish stopped biting, lines were up and we were off to another spot to catch some more. Caught Reds, Sheep Heads and a trout…. We had a wonderful 4 hr trip with Capt Justin. We were a part of 6, some with and some without experience. Justin took us to his favorite hot spots. Red drum aka channel bass were hot and we all hooked and landed at least one fish. Weather in mid February was chilly and the wind was blowing but we had a memorable trip. Justin set up some pop cork rigs for trout in the afternoon but the trout refused to bite. Overall, a great and enjoyable trip, and I would highly recommend Capt Justin McConnell

It was an absolute pleasure having you guys on board. You can tell folks that Redfish fight hard but until they experience it first hand it’s impossible to truly understand !
