    Awedome day fishing on Lake Norman

    6 Hr(AM) Live Bait & Lure • 3 adults

    three of us fishing, started with a 6am lauch from Pinnacle boat access. Capt Will had been on the water since 4am collecting live bait for our trip. All equipment and pontoon boat were in excellent condition. we had our first dbl hook up of hybrid stripped bass and spotted bass within 30 minutes. from then on it was constant steady action. Whether trolling our free lining we caught fish. Hybrid stripped bass, dpotted bass, channel and blue catfish. We would highly recommend Capt Will and will definitely book with him again. awesome 6hr on the lake!

    Productive Day on Lake Logan

    5 Hr. Trip (AM) Live Bait & Lures • 4 adults

    Our family of 4 set off before dawn. Captain Will was ready with tons of fresh bait for our 5 hour trip. He knows all the good spots to find fish on Lake Logan and we moved around the lake catching fish in each spot. His setup is amazing!! My boys were totally impressed by his sonar equipment and his knowledge of what fish were in each area just by the way the fish were moving. Overall, the experience was really great for our family! I would highly recommend Captain Will's Set n Hooks Guide Service!!

    Had an amazing time out on the lake! The whole trip was smooth, relaxing, and a lot of fun from start to finish. We ended up catching a bunch of fish, which made it even better. The captain was fantastic—super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly knew all the right spots. You can tell they have a lot of experience and really care about making sure everyone has a great time. I’d definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun and successful day on the water!

    This was my third time out with Will. Always great but this was our biggest catch day. We are amateurs but captain Will was helpful in demonstrating the electronic equipment and use of gear. Of course he is the master so success was almost guarranteed. He put us right overtop of multiple fish. It almost felt like cheating.

    A Perfect Trip!

    4 Hr Trip (AM) Live Bait & Lures • 2 adults

    Captain Will was the best. We could not have had a better day of fishing. He put us on the fish and we were literally pulling them up in the first 2 minutes. When that spot cooled down, he moved us to another sweet spot. The boat was comfortable and well equipped. My family enjoyed a huge fish fry when we got home. I highly recommend him.

BIG BASS GALORE OFFSHORE!!!

I am spending time on my electronics looking for steep drop ledges on the main lake in that 25’-40’. I scan with electronics looking for larger schools of bass. The smaller schools seem to just be the 1lb to 2lb fish but the larger schools showing 20+ fish will hold a few larger largemouth bass that are mixed in with the bigger spotted bass. Parallel the ledge with a long cast and keep the bait it in the strike zone by bouncing and slow rolling off the bottom just off the drop. With this depth they bite better and are not as spooked. Once a few are hooked it often fires up the whole school and will bring up others to the surface as active followers. I can’t stress enough of making a long cast and giving your bait a longer strike zone to get them agitated. This is a typical summer bite on most deep lakes and should produce bites until the lake temps start to drop this fall.

Winter time can produce big fish!!

Big catfish have been showing up. This time of year it is about size rather than numbers with the cats. However the white perch are munching out of control and they make for a good fish fry by loading the boat with non stop action. While perch fishing we have been getting occasional hybrids and bass. So if you are getting cabin fever then lets go out and set some hooks!!!
