we booked this trip a month in advance and me and my wife came all the way from Kansas City on our honeymoon and Captain Jeremy charted the waters like nobody’s business. We caught probably 15 fish. And my wife has a disability and he made that trip very comfortable for both of us very friendly, kind to us. great fishing trip thats for sure we will be back! thanks cap

Capt Jeremy was Awesome! It was so foggy we could not get out on our scheduled time but we waited and he put us on fish right away. He was very attentive and helpful with tips on fishing. I highly recommend choosing him as your captain! He has a great personality and waa alot of fun!

We had a great trip with Captain Jeremy . We were pushed a day due to weather, which wasn’t an issue at all (can’t control the weather), we waited for about 30 minutes after we arrived, Captain had to get bait. When we made it out on the water, we stopped again to get live bait. We drove for about 30 minutes to the first fishing spot, all the while my brother in law and Captain Jeremy were chatting it up. On the way out we got the chance to see dolphins and enjoyed the F-22 flyovers, front be Air Force base nearby. The weather was great, we moved to 4 to 5 different spots throughout the day. Fish weren’t biting (can’t control that) the captain did everything he could to get fish on our hooks. At the last spot of the day we ended up catching 10 vermillion snappers (they tasted amazing).

One of the best things about fishing trip was that the Captain taught us how he fishes, he was telling us what to expect, how to properly cast (so not to create a birds nest in the reel), he showed us what the rod would look like when a fish was on and how to properly reel it in. He also made sure to watch our lines and coach us until we caught one, then let us go in our own. It was also nice when he showed us how to properly bait the hook and told us if he was busy with one of us to not wait and just go. I liked that a lot. Sometimes the captains make you feel like a child when you have to wait for them to bait the hook. This captain wanted us to fish and get as many as possible in the time we had.

I would highly recommend Captain Jeremy. He was even telling us the best way to cook the fish, told us how to make a good ceviche, and all around great fisherman.

If you want to have a great fishing trip with a true Panama City Fisherman, Captain Jeremy is your man.

Going out with Jeremy was like going out with my friends for the day. Not only, did He know where the fish were, he knew how to keep us on top of them. From the moment he dropped his trolling motor, until the moment we caught our limit, he was coaching me on technique and baiting my hook. I was completely worn out at the end of our trip. I caught so many fish that we had to throw back more than we kept. I even had a battle with a dolphin. It grabbed one of the Red Snappers on the way up to the boat. He chased it it down multiple times as it spooked me over and over. I wanted to break the line off but he knew that the dolphin would let it go eventually. All we got back was the head and spine from that fight. It was exhilarating to say the least. He was professional, fun to hang out with and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back on the boat with him during my next trip to Panama City Beach! Never have I ever had so much fun and felt so comfortable on a boat with anyone before. My vote for Best Captain this year goes to Jeremy Vanderveen!!! Thank You Jeremy. I’ll see you soon my friend.

Heavy fog covered the area this am & Capt. Jeremy decided to wisely push back our departure time. As the fog began to lift, we were able to find & catch some live bait. Off to the first drop & into fish right away. This continued through the day as we tried multiple spots. Jacks, gag grouper, red grouper & 30+lb red snapper were part of the mixed bag.
Jeremy was an entertaining, knowledgeable & professional captain. He provided us with some great local knowledge & a quality restaurant where they cooked our catch.
