  Most Amazing Trip Ever

  I had a fantastic time fishing in Amber Cove, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, with Doña Nina Fishing Tours! Captain Kiko, Joel, and Carlos were an excellent crew and made the entire experience unforgettable. Thanks to their knowledge and guidance, I was able to catch three mahi-mahi and a barracuda! Beyond the fishing, I also learned a lot about the Dominican Republic and really enjoyed getting to know the crew and hearing about their home. I never once felt unsafe, whether we were on the boat or traveling to and from the boat with them. They made me feel comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. I’m extremely happy with the experience and will definitely be choosing Doña Nina Fishing Tours again in the future! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great fishing experience in Puerto Plata.

  Incredible Mahi Mahi Fishing Trip

  3/4 Day Trip on September 3, 2026 • 2 adults

  This was our first fishing charter in the Domican Republic. All the information that the Captain provided was extremely useful! They ready and waiting for us early and gave us a warm welcome. The boat and the gear were all in good shape. It was incredibly useful to have the “head” on the boat as we booked a six hour charter. The first mate (Joel) was absolutely fantastic! He worked really hard changing up the baits and when we caught the Mahi Mahi he was a huge help ensuring we got the fish up to and into the boat. Additionally, he was very attentive to everyone and ensured there were always cold drinks and lots of snacks. The crew filleted the fish for us at the dock which was very much appreciated! We will definitely be back…

  Pre-trip communication ia a 10 out of 10. We were picked up on time, actually early. the entire crew is top notch. Fantastic peoole who know what they are doing. we were baited and lines in water with minutes of leaving the harbor. The crew was so knowledgeable. they put us on fish right away….3 barracudas and then asked if we should try for yhe big fish. we landed a 400lb Blue Marlin. an hour and 45 later, dream come true. Oh, and on last line in water produced a second Marlin. We decided to book a second trip. LFG…..best in the business. FYI….we all have the company fishing shirts now as well. if you want to get treated crazy good and get out on the fish….this is your team!!!! Thank you for a great day and seriously making dreams a reality….catchijg a real kife trophy fish.

  Amazing experience

  The trip was fabulous from the beginning. I was arriving on a cruise ship and they were willing to work with me on the time the trip began. I met Hector who drove me to the other port where the boat was waiting for me. Hector was very personable and I enjoyed our conversations to and from the fishing boat. The crew on the boat were fabulous. Almost caught my dream fish (a marlin) but it broke the line and got away. I ended up catching 2 Mahi Mahi and 1 Barracuda. One of the Mahi Mahi became our lunch. I have been on several chartered fishing trips and I must say this was the best one!!!

  Hector picked us up from the cruise port to start our day. Jose and GG were our boat crew. They were very nice and you could tell that they loved what they do. We caught 2 barracuda in the first 15 mins! Then 1 more and 3 mahi mahi. It was amazing! Jose cooked one of the mahi on the back of the boat. There was a cooler full of drinks and snacks, fresh pineapple cut up for us. I cant say enough great things about this trip. It exceeded our expectations. We gave them a big tip, they deserved it and more. Will post pictures soon!!
