- Clear Lake Fishing Charters has two outstanding captains, Captain Allen and Captain Mark. Captain Allen Welch is no stranger to these waters and has been fishing the Texas Gulf Coast for over 40 years. He became a full-time fishing guide to further his passion for fishing and showing others a good time on the water. Through education, he hopes to inspire the next generation of fishermen. Captain Mark Lamping has been fishing for more than 45 years! He specializes in fishing Clear Lake, Taylor Lake, Clear Creek, and the Galveston Bay waters. Captain Mark loves to help people catch a lot of fish by sharing his passion and vast amount of knowledge with everyone.
- Techniques
- Captain Allen and Captain Mark fish everything from live bait under a popping cork in two feet of water to dropping a weight to the bottom of the deep channel or throwing artificials. They like to fish all levels of the water column, depending where the fish are located. They are flexible and use the water, weather, and waves to make decisions. They work individually with each angler, providing as little or as much assistance as desired. They like to put their guests on their favorite fishing holes and enjoy watch them create memories of a lifetime.
