Three of us went out with Capt Richard and Deckhand Gregory. Fishing was great and the crew was very friendly. Gregory continually worked preparing bait and adjusting lines. We had multiple hits simultaneously. Both the Capt and Deckhand worked to keep the lines from tangling. We caught several mahi mahi, tuna, a bonita, a ridge runner, and a barracuda. To top it off we ate some of our catch (mahi mahi, barracuda) at the Driftwood Restaurant in the evening. The meal was delicious. When we weren’t catching fish, we had a good time joking with the Richard and Gregory. Would definitely go out with them again.

I had the most incredible time on my deep-sea fishing trip! From start to finish, the experience was beyond my expectations. The crew was super friendly, and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a fantastic day on the water. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a beginner like me, they ensure you’re comfortable and having a blast.

The boat was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. And the fishing – wow! We caught some amazing fish, including tuna and even a few Mahi Mahi. It was such a thrill reeling in those big ones! The crew helped us every step of the way, offering tips and cheering us on.

The views were absolutely breathtaking. We saw dolphins swimming alongside the boat and even caught sight of a few sea turtles. There’s nothing like being out in the open ocean, feeling the breeze, and soaking up the sunshine.

I highly recommend this deep-sea fishing trip to anyone looking for an exciting and memorable adventure. I’ll definitely be booking another trip soon – I can’t wait to do it all over again!

We had a great day of fishing on the Dorothy.  The captain and crew worked the whole 8 hours to ensure our group of 6 had a great experience.  The day started off with us hooking a sail fish that broke the line and then landing a Mahi Mahi not 10 minutes after that.  The fishing slowed after that until the captain and crew took us to another spot and the fishing was back on.  We landed 4 Red Snapper and an Amber Jack while losing 3 other fish.  On our way back in we caught another Mahi Mahi.  The captain and crew never gave up and we ended up with 7 fish for dinner that night.  We highly recommend the Dorothy.  We will be booking them again when we go back to the One Happy Island.

We booked a half day fishing trip and had a great time. The crew was great and gave tons of effort to get us on fish. Unfortunately for us it’s called fishing and not catching lol, we did manage to snag a Barracuda that my 11 year old reeled in and is still thrilled about so it was a day well spent. They cleaned and filleted the fish for us and escorted us to the Mexican restaurant by the dock to have it cooked for us. Barracuda would not have been my first choice for dinner but it was surprisingly delicious! We were very happy we followed through on having it cooked. The boat is on the older side but still very comfortable for us 4 and capable. I would not hesitate to book this charter again when we are in Aruba next time, Thanks guys!!

The crew of Dorothy are excellent fishermen. They are constantly refreshing baits and trying different colors.
The waters of Aruba are far from calm. I do not know wind speeds required to shut down fishing, due to small craft warnings, here in Aruba. Similar winds that we encountered in Aruba on our fishing day back on the east coast would have been a cancel due to small craft warnings. With that said winds gusting to 30 MPH are normal and fishable.
  For most people fishing Aruba it is a good move to take meclizine prior to going out.
