1 year ago1/2 Day Nearshore trip- little man was awesome. He learned that fish pull hard! Lane Snappers, Red Snappers, Gag Grouper(single 15+ pounds), and broke off on sharks and barracuda’s due to light tackle fishing!

1 year agoWhat was supposed to be an inshore trip, but I realized after discussions, a nearshore trip was better suited and it paid off! Started with Mangrove Snappers, Porgy’s and Grunts- followed by getting broke off kn AJ’s and a Goliath. Then onto catch a Shark, because thats what excited them. And finally got kne to answer and pulled us around.

1 year agoNearshore trips can be a lot of fun. Earlier the better as the fish slow their bite by mid morning. Several species can be caught. Snappers, Groupers, Sharks and more.

1 year ago1st time saltwater fishing. Last time she fished was 10 years old. Mangrove Snappers, Catfish, Seatrout, Weakfish and a Sheepshead all in a 4 hr trip. Lets get on the water and build a memory.

9 years agoThe fish were biting all morning today. Bonita, Tarpon & Kingfish. Surprised that no sharks were caught today. Clients from Atlanta enjoyed their work out. Gonna have some sore arms later tonight!

9 years agoWe had a great day. Kept turning on the outdoor A/C going from spot to spot. Catching at each spot were a plethora of fish. Using light tackle and targeting big fish make for a great work out session. Calm seas and willingness to venture is rewarding to say the least.

9 years agoThis time of year means that getting a workout involves fishing the abundance of wrecks we have. From Amberjack to Sharks to Red Snapper and everything in between. Calm seas with bent rods and sore arms is what we do during the summer months. Come and get a piece of this action!

11 years agoWhile the wind was blowing (luckily more out of the west) the beach fishing was a good choice. We hooked up on several medium (20lb) Jacks, hooked into cobia and a few sharks that were stretching the line to the max! Fishing on the beaches of New Smyrna Beach out of Ponce Inlet is a great adventure. Easy access with little to worry about. Great structure to get to within site of shore and the ability to run the beach all the way to the launch pads of NASA. 11 years agoIts' one thing to sight catch redfish in 10"-15" of water each day. And with the water being gin clear here lately, its is great to do some sight fishing in the northern lagoon system (more so NSB south lagoon). Then, for those that can't or don't want to get up early, the inlet bite is going great (as long as you know the pattern) for the much bigger bull reds. Today- lost 3 fish at boat side, but boated 3 Big Bull Reds over slot (over 30" long) all in a 30-45 minute period of time. Bending the Shimano Trevala rods over catching these fun fish! Book your charter with me and you can have your pick - get up early and sight fish, and/or go for an afternoon inlet bite for the big bull reds... Pictures soon to come!

12 years agoHigh Tides are something special here in NE Florida. And when the tides are on the higher side, we are able to get to waters that are untouched and the fish are just craving to eat anything in front of them. Artificial Lures such as Paddle Tails and Capt. Mike's Aqua Dream Living Spoons are the top favorite. Live bait works great too, but I try to use as much artificial as possilbe.
