We had a blast!! Two adults, two kids, Zach, and more fish than we could catch. Zach knows his boat, and the waters very well and the fish we caught would testify… but we’re eating them tonight.

We had such a great time, there wasn’t a dull moment. My 7 and 9 year old were kept busy and they each caught beautiful striper!

Zach moves almost effortlessly around the boat to assist new fishermen and keeps the experience moving. We are already planning on doing another charter. Probably on the Tuna boat!

Zach thanks for the great time. We enjoyed your approachable personality and your obvious knowledge of the craft! We were impressed by the small innuendos that caught your attention and prompted more successful catches!

We had a trip 8/2/23 myself, brother, and two sons 9 and 14, the morning after a full moon that caused a much lower than normal low tide. The trip was a half day trip so it was on the comfortable 23’ center console. The extreme low tide disrupted the hot striper bite that had been going on for a while. The captain showed me pictures of what they had been catching and the fishing had been really good.
The Captain wasn’t swayed by the lack of interest the fish had that morning and was determined to get some fish especially for my two boys. We fished at the start of the trip jigging for mackerel for bait. Took a little while but the Captain found them and quickly caught enough bait to start striper fishing.
The fishing started slow but he worked hard chumming and working to get some bites. When the bites weren’t happening he had backup spots to target. He also had a network of fellow Captains that work together to get each other on the fish.
The center console was key in being able to get spot to spot quickly to find the fish.
Funny enough we finally found them at the end of the trip and putting in some extra time.  Found some bites about 5 minutes from the dock. Both boys ended up landing a striper which one was a keeper that we’ll be grilling tonight. Once my 9 y/o landed that second fish the captain may have been more excited than I was. So worth it to see the smiles on the boys faces. I’ll definitely be booking at least one trip next summer if not two. Would give 6 stars if it was an option.
